Someday, But Not Today

Someday, but not today
I will wonder what happened between us two.
Close my eyes and touch the sun,
While I am envisioning you.

Someday, but not today
I will fondly remember your kiss.
So tender and gentle upon my cheek,
a sweet endearment I will miss.

Someday, but not today
I will shed a tear for what I have lost.
Time will heal my wounded heart
and the sun will melt away the frost.

Someday, but not today
I will look back upon this time we shared
and remember so fondly
why it was I cared.
Someday, but not today.

A Fair Maiden's Cry

High up on a mountain top

where dragons fly about ,

lived a knight who tried to stop

the dragons in their route.

~~~~~
Oh, how the knight dared to fight.
His beloved was nowhere to be found.
With sword in one hand throughout the night
he fought the creatures until they fell to the ground.
~~~~~

With daylight coming and a feeling of renewal,

the knight searched high and low.

He tried so hard not to be cruel

to the monsters who blew fire down below

~~~~~
His fair maiden cried to thee...
"Save me from this hell.
Release me from this misery
and remove me from this spell."
           ~~~~~

From a balcony he heard the cries

of his fair maiden, Anne.

He slayed the dragons that flew from the skies

as he won this battle plan.

~~~~~
Up the ladder he climbed to the damsel in distress.
And with a fervent and burning desire
he held her while they caressed,
as their bodies slowly ignited a fire.
True Love
On a hilltop I first met my True Love
Dashing and chivalrous was he
I could only surmise that he was sent from above
Valiant and courageous and wild and free
Words of love he spoke so dear
Oh, how I longed for more
My heart grew soft and not of fear
While my heat burned at the core
In the sky a cloud appeared
The rain poured down that day
My True Love vanished, disappeared
And with it my happiness slipped away
Broken hearts and shattered dreams
If only my True Love heard my screams
