Booming Night

Bang! Bang!
A roaring sound erupted from downstairs awakening my sister and I,
Silence over filled the house.
My sister and I laid in our bed immobile,
I listened to her soft quivering breaths as the tranquility took over the world
But then . . .
Mama screams.
Bang! Bang!
There it went again,
Now is was silent.
My older sister Susan carried me in her arms and hid me under the bed,
“I’ll be right back,
I’m gonna see what mommy and daddy are up to, don’t come out until I return, You understand me Sophie?” Susan whispered.
I nodded my head yes and she tiptoed out of the door . . . Leaving it cracked open.
Once again it was silent,
I listened to the wind whistling outside my bedroom window,
It was soothing,
It was aesthetic,
My eyes began to slowly drift off,
But then . . .
Susan screamed which made me jump out of my dreamland.
Bang! Bang!
Once again it was silent,
But this time . . .
I was on my own.
“Susan?” I whisperedly called out.
No answer . . .
“Susan?!” I called out again.
Still no answer
Tears flooded my eyes as more silence filled the room.
I was afraid . . .
But I knew I had to be strong for Susan.
So I waited . . .
and waited . . .
And waited . . .
I waited for so long that I began to lose track of time.
Woo-Woo!
I hear a noise outside my window . . .
A different noise?
From the corner of my eye I see blue and red lights flashing outside.
That’s when I knew it was time to be brave,
I got out from underneath the bed and held on tightly on my stuffed teddy bear.
I tiptoed out of my room and down the stairs,
Moments later my feet hit the cold kitchen floor,
I could barely see anything . . . Except for the flashing blue and red lights outside my front door.
I picked my feet up and slowly began to make my way towards the door,
Splash! Splash!
I stepped in something wet,
But it felt different . . .
Something sticky . . .
Something slippery . . .
But dries within seconds.
“Hee-Hee”
I hear a faint laugh come from behind me.
I stood there in the puddle of dark liquid not moving a single muscle.
“Hee-Hee”
The sadistic laugh appeared louder this time,
I felt someone’s warm, but mephitic fear consumed me,
I could fell the presence
inching closer . . .
And closer . . .
And closer . . .
Until I could fell their lips brush against my ear.
I didn't dare to turn around . . .
But I knew it was a man.
He shushed me and whispered something in my ear . . .
Something that I’ll never forget . . .
“Bang, Bang”

My Celestial Life

My life goes on and on
without any breaks nor rest
it’s like an icicle that melts
but never goes away.
My life is as perfect as it could be
like a rose to be seen
A garden of such beauty
from the fence to the house
My house is warm as a
fire burning in a forest
Music as Grace to the winds in a meadow
my room is messy as a tornado to a house.
The color of Red rose to blood
Color of the Night Sky to Black Sheets
those are the colors to life
Everyone else is happy with life
while I’m looking at stars in the night
Searching for a friend’s light
which are Galaxies away
Once I find her
She brings me happiness and joy
from her heart that chines at night
My life is as perfect as it could be
As we soar though the Nightless Skies of Day and Night.

Its Just a Dream

It's just a dream, right?
I had a dream
Or, at least I think it’s a dream
A dream about a man
I don’t know who or what
But I know it’s a man
He had curly ginger hair
A mask that covered his face
He was holding a butcher knife
Wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes
He looks evil
Or, maybe, he is evil
No one good would look something like that
And holding a butcher knife
Yes, he’s evil
I saw him there
In the dark
I can’t move
Something’s not right here
Something’s holding me!
Holding me very tight
NO! LET ME GO!
LET ME GO!
I started crying
He approached me
Pulling up the butcher knife
Please! Don’t do this!
It’s just a dream! It’s just a dream!
I need to wake up! I need to wake up!
Something’s holding me! NO!
LET ME GO! STOP! STOP! DON’T!
He’s right in front of me
He raised the butcher knife and killed me
As I woke up, screaming
Yes, it was all just a dream
But it seemed so real
Why would this happen to me?
Wait, why do I feel like I’m being watched?
No, he’s right there
In the dark
I know he’s not real, this is all just a dream too
I need to wake up again! Water! Water!
I took the water besides my lamp and splashed it on my face
Why am I not waking up?!
N! He’s coming! With that butcher knife!
This is real! NO! IT CAN’T BE! NO!
He approached me
I screamed and screamed
No one saved me
He raised the butcher knife
And stabbed me in the heart
Was it a dream? Or not?
Please help me!
What do I do now?
I’m now all white
I walked and walked for something light
Yes! Light!
I ran to it and saw that I’m in heaven
Thank you!
I’m now away from that dream!
Thank you . . .
I can now live in peace
Even if I don’t have a body anymore
I still have my spirit . . .

A Dream Within a Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me vow
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therfore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And i hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand
How few, yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep, while I sleep
can i not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
can i not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
