Givers and Takers

Some people give and some people take, live by made up rules because the takers are fake.
Taking for granted in all that you do, you can't give enough and it gets the better of you.
The givers give their very last coin to the taker that takes it for a slot or a bet, they never win but they don't care there is always another giver somewhere.
The taker took love and threw it away, the giver still gives it each and every day.
The taker takes joy and thrill from the steal, the gives thrives on spreading good will.
The taker takes but has nothing to show from it. The giver gives everything and has all they need because inside them is a fountain of giving or so it seems.
The world is in balance the people have hope for the givers give love and takers soak it up.

Too Little Too Late

They walk, separate destinations in the wrong direction.
Aimlessly drifting throughout various vocations, too idol to master what they need to succeed.
A rat pack of losers in a game they can't win, they can't because they won't, they refuse to begin.
Putting up the with the worst because that's all they deserve to themselves.
No hope for the future no thoughts that are profound.
Each day is the same as the last and tomorrow will be the same.
They live how they live and they feel the shame.
One day the regrets will come thick and fast and they'll wish once more for a chance at the past.
Too little too late they will say and keep living the rat race from day to day.

Bread Line Nation

He is living on the breadline, He is cold and hungry with no support line. Money comes in and slips through his hands a capital version of hourglass sands. The hunger used to drive him but now he is weak. The cold has seeped through to his bones, we wonders and drifts looking for somewhere to call home.
Once he was a soldier he stood proud and tall and no body told him that pride comes before a fall. He fell and he fell too many miles to count. he injured his leg and the army kicked him out.
The breadline stands between him and his life the life that was lost because he cant pay his way out. The stress ate him up in its endless starvation along with the rest of the breadline nation.

For Life

The man screams and all the people shout. A mass of bodies fallen to the ground.
The fires start in the mad mans eyes. For glory for power he wears no disguise. He's in it for the passion, his life he fights to protect. He has been suppressed and he's got years to get off his chest.
He stands loud, he stands proud, he stands firm and strong. Today will be remembered and his glory lives on.

I See Without Seeing

I look without seeing, imagination runs away with me, dreams mix with reality and reality never helped me.
I swim in the darkness the shadows surround, the water runs deep, I am with the lost and I am never found.
Drops race down my body and cover my skin with their streams, imitations of tears.
I've been trapped in my life for more than my years.
A life long existence of nothing but pain, a shock to the system, a game for a game.
I'm lost without leaving in a place I cannot see, I look without seeing and find a life with no living.

I Am Who I Am

I am myself, I am only me, I'm unlike anybody.
Inside my head daydreams swim around, some are light, some are profound. Some are dark like the deepest deep. In the shadow of sadness I sit and weep.
In the darkness I try to sauce light but there is nothing, no dim flicker no tunnel of hope, swallowed up with nothing, not a glimpse of glowing.
I am dead inside no feelings for the world around me, the darkness closes and the depression drowns me, I've lost my way and I can't find who I used to be.
I pray for an angel to come my way and direct me to the path to which I have strayed.
No angels come only the nightfall stays, I'm living with bad memories that chip away at me every day.
Somehow I find strength from a place unknown, the misery releases me and I'm back home. I am happy now, I feel so alive or is this just a wicked cruel disguise?
I pray this feeling will stay this time but I'm waiting and waiting for it to be gone, I can't even enjoy my happiness for the fear of losing it, once more returning to the bleakness for another trip, a living hell with no feeling in it.
I don't want to go back I hate it there, the depths are the darkest and its too much to bare.
At times it creeps slowly all sly and coy it treats me like it's toy, and plays with me until I am destroyed.
I pray for its grasps to release me and give me over to this ecstasy. I'd rather be high and live in a cloud in their light fluffy puffiness I'd never be down. I'd bask in the light the sun has given as a gift, filling my sole with a positive lift.
I might be down and I might get back up but I am who I am and i can be no one else.

Money

Money grows for thoughs who have it.
There are too many people who barely see it.
It comes in and flows out like the tide, financial burdens in a constant ride.
You have more going out than ever comes in, lost in pound signs hoping your bet comes in.
Scratching away at cards to gain. Nothing again, they're all the same.
Life on the dull is boring and grim, no opportunities so you turn to a life of sin.
One man's loss is another man's gain, nothing in a poor mans life but hunger pain, a shock to the system that's let you down. Your short lived smile ends up a frown.
Lost and drifting left on a government shelf.
There's no help for you anywhere, you're lost in a system that does not care.

Mr Green

Mr Green you've always been a true friend to me every day you release me from the world that's suffocated me.
When the pain is too much to bare you are truly always there. You wrap me up in your paper's touch a scent so sweet it's just too much. You absolutely make me tick I tick so much I'm totally skint.
I want to roll you up and suck you dry feeling so great I'm higher than high. A natural buddy in a synthetic land. I'll wrap you and roll you and lay in the sand.
The only negative thing to say is I need you more and more each day.
But I can live with that if you can for you and I go hand in hand.

Time Vampires

Time is short for all of us forever running around takes its toll. Some people have the perfect solution, they take your time and make you use it on them. Little favours here and there, from cleaning up mess to doing their hair.
You could have hours to spare but instead you are doing things for them.
When it comes to your free time they soak up your hours online.
Just sit down for five minutes peace, the phone is always guaranteed to ring. A voice on the other end will say could you lend a hand tomorrow all day.
If you could just learn to say no you'd have time to relax but guilt creeps in and you think okay I could perhaps.
Just one more day sucked up by others your time shared up by everyone and their mothers.
You never get them hours back so rein in your time and claim them back.
Say you're sorry you can't help today, because your hours are yours for your life's living and that's how it's got to stay.

How I Feel

you can't imagine this pain I feel, the lies you told, I thought you were real.
you tell me what you think I want to hear, whispering sweet nothings in my ear.
my heart skipped a naive beat, to the rhythms of the words I've heard so many times before. I know they are lies but I want to hear more.
I want to feel that you love me too
so I stay here tormented and lost with you.
I don't want to let you go but you've changed so much, you're a person all new.
You put me down every chance you get, and never think of the consequence.
the impact you have, it slices at my sole and leave bruises that never go.
I'm torn between what is right and wrong and I'm lost and wondering with a broken mind.
all that I was got left behind, in a place I once was, a place long gone and past.
If I want a new future I must eradicate the last.
I must be free to shine in my light, to bask in its glory and regain my self once more.
I show myself the way to go, for loving is something you have to sometimes let go.
