Unblinded

Unblinded
By Michael Williams

It seems wherever I end up going,
everything is hidden, nothing showing.
No one sees, no one knows,
just how this story goes.

Not a care, not a worry,
everyone is in such a hurry.
Too busy to stop, too busy to see,
what has become of me.

Self-hatred and denial are my tools,
no one knows me, they are fools.
Deceiving them all is my game,
I do this and feel no shame.

Filling all my lustful needs,
sewing and planting my deviant seeds
caring not about the shame,
just causing extensive pain.

What is this I think I see?
It’s the Lord, looking down at me.
The look I see in his eye,
is enough to make me cry.

Ashamed of who I’ve become,
of who I’ve hurt, and what I’ve done.
I don’t like who I am,
I don’t feel like much of a man.

Help me Lord, hear my plea,
I can’t stand what has become of me.
I’m tired of the sorrow; I’m tired of the shame,
I’m tired of this hurtful game.

Help me Lord, for I can see,
there is nothing you won’t do for me.
Give me the chance to start again,
I know I can live free from sin!

My Love Awaits

"My Love Awaits"
By Michael Williams
Sitting in the park reading a book,
Is a beauty, I just had to look.
I need to find a plan,
I need to meet her I know I can.

I send a puppy to go her way,
He approaches wanting to play.
Now I know that's my que,
I know exactly what to do.

I say Hello and to my surprise,
She had the most beautiful eyes.
I couldn't help but to stare,
My love for her I wanted to share.

I asked her for a date,
I had to be with her, I couldn't wait.
She said yes I was surprised,
She had me completely mesmerized.

We sat and talked on our date,
I met her kids, they were great.
A perfect family for our life.
I had to have her for my wife.

She said yes when I proposed,
And that is how the story goes.
19 years later, my love for her has grown,
beyond all measure, who would have known.

Making her happy without any tears,
And sharing my love throughout the years.
I love her unconditionally that is no lie,
I will love her forever even after I die.
