The Gift

Strange
Of times of ways
The waves that carry
The space that scares you
Into who you have to be
Strange
The voices
Around
Inside you
Hide to
Find the light
Don’t know what you might
Discover
Strange
The faces
They make at you
Contorting their ways into
Monsters who play
With your heart
You freely give to them
Letting them break
Letting them change
Because you don’t know how
Strange
Is become real
And really not strange
Anymore
Normal
The times the ways
Now you forget
How strange

To Love You

From the time it takes the sun to come into our eyes
To when we have said some goodbyes
That’s how long it takes
And in between we communicate through deep sighs

From the time I start watching the clock
To when we lose all sense of time
That’s how long it takes
Two different beats finally making one song
We learn, we love to play along

From the time it takes a child to build his house
To when it gets knocked down
That’s how long it takes
For us to summit a mountain
And become royal in a world
Where only we know how to dream

From the time it takes for this feeling to grow
And cover our scars and bind us as one
That’s how long it takes
And even longer if we need
To journey until discovery is lost or forgotten

From the time when we met
To when we die
That’s how long it takes
Always stay by my side

Window Light

I’ve lost myself to a fantasy
An age of ageless men who can be
What they want
But all they want is to be happy
In fluidity I find solace with synthetic light
Their owners forgot them
Like mine forgot me
We’ll stay on
We’ll stay on
We’ll stay on
Through the night

If one by one you go off
Then stay with me long enough
We can search for the shadows
That hide our misfortune

Company

Caress me
This loneliness is overtaking
The feeling of these hands is insane
Faces everywhere I look
I can’t escape them now
They’re my company
Oh, they sing to me

La la al
Keeping time to the rhythm
Of my clapping my heart beating
As enchanting as they come
Making love to my empty soul
Gouging out my eyes as they dance

I guess they’re cursed
Maybe loveless
Maybe unloved
Maybe both
Or just crazy
If they push me over
Push me in
I’ll lose my weight
But the moon will dance again

One two three four five
Six
Seven eight nine ten
Going round in circles
‘Till they fall into the shadows again

No more dancing
No more singing
It’s all gone silent
It’s all gone still
I’m caressing myself
But at least I’m not lonely
It still feels amazing
