Sabreena Candreva Poem
She was his only chance
to rid himself of this curse.
At first it was just a ploy
to get her to say those words.
His one and only chance
to leave his monstrous form behind
and with it this prison he was in.
But she changed him.
He could hear her saying those words,
"I love you"
but they were only in his mind,
not from her heart.
Time went by,
his cold heart melting before her,
but he could not do this.
He freed her from this hell,
his hell.
He felt no pain, no fear,
just hope.
The hope of seeing her again.
The day was dawning
and with it his final hour.
The simple drop of a petal
to signal his end.
Until she came back!
What he didn't know
was that he changed her
as much as she changed him.
Her skies were brighter
and not just the color
of the rotting pages in her books.
They freed each other
from their own hell.
Now they can just be...
Free.

Sabreena Candreva Poem
I seem to be stuck
where I sit in my chair
and when I try to move
I get stuck in the air.
Now that I’ve tried
to push myself off,
my hands want to stick
like marshmallow fluff.
I’m getting quite tired
of fighting with this,
but what ever it is,
has quite a strong fist.
I guess I fought
better than it
‘cause when I looked down
it oozed like spit.
This foe of mine
was a great fighter,
but not good enough.
(I move like a spider)
I sprang from my seat,
overjoyed to be free,
and then I looked down,
and what a scene!
The chair had glue
all over the place.
in each little crack
and each tiny space!
I couldn’t believe I fell for that prank!
How stupid I am to sit on that chair!
I shook my head and laughed out loud,
then I found out my hand was in my hair.

Sabreena Candreva Poem
The magic of the world is in your heart,
As close as it will ever be.
A simple thought will bring it about
Just as your love for me.
Small child, I wait for you
Just beyond the horizon,
Over the mountains and into the sea,
Look, the sun's a-risin’.
My child, believe in your heart
It will not lead your astray.
For now, I bid you farewell,
But for you comes another day.
