Sisters

Close in age they are
Fight at a given chance,
Sitting at opposite ends
While each other they'll glance.

Don't like much seperation
But enjoy some private space,
Life would be so unbearable
If on was gone without a trace.

Shareing their little secrets
Playing some prank or two,
Say to each other leave right now
Alone they are lost as to what to do.

Sister's they will always be
Riverely between them as well,
But no matter what may happen
They love each other one can tell.

Reason To Smile

Many people don't know
The pain i live each day,
I keep it all locked up inside
Always thought its best this way.

Friends eagerly invite you
Saying your busy its no,
Knowing the truth your broke
Otherwise you would love to go.

Weighing things completely
Listening to what others say,
Nothing ever really changes
For its the same each day.

Despite all life's short comings
After you sit and think awhile,
You still have your loved one
For this you'll forever smile.

Special Friend

I know someone real special
Shows kindness and love from within,
Always there to confort me in time of need
Without a dought shes one true friend.

When my day isnt going so good
I know she is there for me,
Never puts me down a bit
But says by my side shell be.

We often would go for lunch
Shopping is always so much fun,
We stop for ice cream once in awhile
Course, its always secret from everyone.

But the best part of this friendship
Which still amazes one to see,
For it very rarely happens now
This poem's about my mother and me.

Leaving

Each day we face many trials
Did we make a good choice today,
For if we didn't we'll soon know
The cost is high that we will pay.

As children we only watch adults
Thats the way we all learn,
Our parents try their best to guide us
Although they are at times to stern.

They often say just you wait
Someday as adults you'll see,
But sometimes it them who forget
We are adults, they must let us be.

Every bird must learn to fly
Each child will move away,
They must live life on their own
Learn from their mistakes each day.

Can't hold us back forever
Nor make us feel guilty to leave,
Its now our life and own choice
It is ourself that we must please.

Changes

Why doe's things change
What was good goes bad,
How must one go on
Without things you once had.

Sitting there in a daze
Your mind out in space,
Where should you begin
What heardache do you erase.

Fell as if your being punished
Day's no longer have sun,
Just rain and dark clouds now
You wonder what you have done.

Then something just hits you
Perhaps a sign from above,
Nothing has really changed
You have just given up on love.

Cherish

Will our friendship flourish
Perhap's it will end today,
We are constantly fighting
Lets not continue on this way.

Can we ever just move on
Let go of the troubled past,
Make full amends and commit
To making this friendship last.

We are very much alike
Felt same pain and sorrow,
Each night we say goodbye
I feel there will be no tomorrow.

I know inside we can do it
Have some ways we must bend,
Lets keep tryin and looking ahead
Dont let our friendship come to an end.

My Pet

I have a pet tiger
Do you wanna see,
Hes here in my pocket
I take him everywhere with me.

Hes soft and cuddly
With stripes of black,
I got him from a friend
But, i wont give him back.

I tell him everything
Hes a good friend,
We play all the time
From beginning to end.

Some say im so silly
Hes just a stuffed toy,
But they dont know
How he brings me such joy.

He never acts up
Buckles up when we ride,
He loves to swing
But his favorite is the slide.

After a long day of playing
The sky turns to night,
I go to bed real early
My tiger never outta sight.

As we snuggle together
I fall fast asleep,
By my side forever
My tiger ill always keep

Spring

I saw a sign of spring today
Bright flowers now in bloom,
People mowing their lawns
Cleaning off porches with a broom.

Bicycles going down the street
Crowds of children now at play,
Other's playing a game of ball
Oh, what a beautiful spring day.

Many are doing spring cleaning
Washing windows inside and out,
Some jusst sitting in a chair
Watching children run and shout.

The warm sun beating down
Soft brisk wind in your hair,
Makes you drift off in a dream
A sandy beach oh, your so there.

The night slowing comeing to an end
For tomorrow will be a another day,
Make plans of things to do in your mind
As you slowly lay and drift away.

Rags To Riches

Looking around at others
Pure envy is what i see,
They have beautiful things
For its hand downs for me.

I want a new career
But what am i to do,
I have no real experience
At least compaired to you.

My clothes have no style
I need to win the lottery,
Oh what i could do then
With all that much money.

After work I'll buy a ticket
I go right past the store,
To my surprise I won a grand
Rags to Riches not wanting more.

Far Away Dad

A close connection to each other
Valued time is spent each day,
A young boy and his father
Its ment to be this way.

What will happen to this
When the mother decides to go,
The child is taken away now
New where abouts he dont know.

A father's heart is now shattered
For what is there left to do,
Without his precious son there
His life is meaningless and blue.

Wanting only to be the best ever
He sits in a cell thinking what he had,
Missing his son and new memories
His son is missing more....his dad.

Even the miles between them
Can't take what is in the heart,
Knowing they will soon reunite
Will help them while their apart.
