The Opposite Sex

the opposite sex,
is the most powerful drug out there.
With one puff, your high.
And the entire world is,
nothing but an illusion.
when its over,
you get a small burn out,
wich is as natural as breathing,
and you know that it will pass.
After you've tried the opposite sex,
theres no turning back,
you know what your missing
and your addicted.
And every second your without,
you crave it.
and like alot of addictions,
its very expensive,
sometimes it can cause alot of damage
to your heart, and well,
stupid me didnt have insurance.

Teenage Romance

So heres to teenage romance,
the kinds that dont make sence,
The guys who break our hearts,
And rip them to our expense.

Heres to the good times,
And the things we'll remember,
The Moments in time,
we were finaly together.

heres to the fantasies,
And all our childhood dreams,
And coming to age of realising,
nothing was as it seemed.

So heres to teenage romance,
and on the past we sometimes dwell,
The butterflies, the memories,
and the hurt know too well...

Alone

Tears running down my cheek,
I survived another week,
I dont know why i feel like this,
cant help but want the things i miss.

I tear myself open,
Even if i feel broken,
I pull myself together,
To stop thinking about forever.

I try so hard to realise,
that soon there will be,
that one guy,
but still, even though i try,
i feel like im living a lie.

Waiting for the perfect man,
i try to make him understand,
wanting him to realise,
iv been mislead by other guys..

I know is still have got to try,
but fridays alone, still make me cry,
So i will wait, for that one day,
when all my worries will go away..
im dreaming of a better day...

I Sew Myself Shut

Iv torn myself open,
as i have countless times before,
but this time i thought as different
but you ended up slamming the door.

I decided to try,
and keep my mind open,
but in the end all i got,
was a heart that was broken.

you made me believe,
that this could be it,
that you were that guy,
that i could finaly live.

i tore myself open,
i wanted to believe,
that this was the guy,
the one who wouldnt leave..
but once again, im in a rut,
as i mend my heart,
and as i sew myself shut..

Just Friends

cannot wait to see,
what is in it for me,
i cannot wait to hear,
the beautiful words,
cry those beautiful tears,
bitter or sweet, i am neither
 i feel so insecure,
are you ready for me?
im not sure you want more,
But im not ready to throw
you out the door,
i cant continue to pretend,
that i dont love you anymore,
that i just want to be friends...

Not All There

he took me by the throat,
well intending to make me choke,
and as she took him by the hand,
i was lost trying to understand.

when i glanced into his eyes,
I quickly seen the hurt, the lies,
his hidden heart, i tried to find,
but all i found was a bad desguise.

And as i undid the knots hes tied,
i know inside, hes not worth the time,
Eventualy ill have to be fine,
Cause I know he'll never be mine.

I realized then how much he's changed
and how things with us just rearanged,
across the room, i sit and stare,
But once again, he's not all there.

Made Me Fall

he made me fall,
and didnt catch me,
he made me love,
but didnt care,
he opened up a wound inside me,
and when i let him in,
he was no longer there.
he made me talk,
but didnt listen,
he made me hurt,
he made me mad,
but the worst thing that he did,
was lead me on,
and make me sad.
told me he was different,
that he'd never let me fall,
but in reality he was no different,
and wasnt worth the pain at all.

Walk With Who I Am

when i meet you, one day soon,
i hope that you will see,
the person that i am,
and all that i can be.

when you see me,
i hope that you can find,
the best underneath,
and all i have to hide.

please know that im not perfect,
and i sometimes care too much,
know that iv been hurt before,
and with my feelings iv lost touch.

i hope that you'll accept me,
for who i am inside,
and know ill always be faithful,
and i do not deal in lies.

and when you realise im not perfect,
i can only hope you'll accept what you see,
that you can walk with who i am,
that you can walk with me....

Lessons Learned

For every thing that we've been through,
and all the moments we cant redo,
all the times we've laughed or cried,
always sticking by eachother's sides,
to all the pain we've ever felt,
that with time we healed and dealt,
with all of life's weird twists and turns,
one thing's for sure, there's lessons learned.

to all the moments we were unsure,
that we had to go on with, though insecure,
life's not always easy, and theres no guarantees,
all you can do, is yourself try to please,
live in the moment, rejoice in the earned,
because every smile, every tear,
theres lessons to be learned.

For all the times you seen no light,
and all the days that felt like night,
all the pain, and things you've dealt,
that you got over, the joy you've felt,
all the moments in wich you've had pain,
makes life's happy moments,
like a sunny day from the rain,
and as we go on,
and see the bridges we've burned,
we can be sure to remember,
the lessons we've learned.
