Rickety Road To Love

Twists and turns
                                                              My heart burns

                                                    Ups and downs
                                                         Tears and frowns

                                                                    Ins and outs
                                                                  Many shouts

                                                              Outs and ins
                                                                Laughs and grins

                                                                             Pain and joy
                                                                       Love my boy

                                                                           Downs and ups
                                                                         Loving cups

                                                                    New beginnings
                                                             Can't stop grinning

Happiness

I have learned what happiness is
Its something I learned last night
Its when someone you love is in danger
And the remedy may not be a cure
when a heavy load lays on your heart
And the prognosis is very unsure
You wait through the night and the blackness
Your fingernails chewed to the bone
Pace up and down in the darkness
Knowing you face this alone
Will he come back or will he depart
I can't stand the tension, its breaking my heart

At last it is morning, the dawn breaks at last
I turn on my PC, and hope news comes fast
At last there's a message, I hold my breath in
Is he still with me, I don't want to hear
Please don't let it be bad news, I cant take that in
I read on the screen through eyes blurred with fear
“Sir has come back and the doc says he's great”
I let my breath out and burst into tears
My darling is back, my sweetheart, my lover
With love and good care I'm sure he'll recover
My heart is full to bursting, it's pulsating a song of joy
Yes I know what happiness is,
The return of my darling boy!

The Man I Love

How is it possible to love such a man
A man who throws up and goes for scans
A man who is as temperamental as me
And stubborn as well,Oh! misery
And yet he is kind and loveable too
Well sometimes he is, and sometimes a poo!
I love him to bits, though he gives me the "irrits"
He tells porky pies, in Aussie that's lies
But I love him to bits, and never will quit
Eternally together, in love forever!!!!!

Scared

I have hardly ever been been so scared
I was waiting and waiting, thinking nobody cared
I know they dont know me, but I thought they'd reply
Just let me know that my babe was okay
But nobody answered, nobody called
I was just about climbing the bloody wall
Then he came online, and my heart overflowed
The relief that I felt, I never have known
After all the worry and texts and time
The problem was caused by a damn faulty line!!!!

Sorry

Every time things go good
Something happens and makes them bad
This is the last thing that I need
Its what causes my heart to bleed
All I want is to be with my love
Not other people,whoever they are
Baby this is something thrust on me
Not my desire, please hear my plea
Please dont hate me,cos I love you
Please dont break my heart in two
whatever you feel I feel it too
Just know baby I love you

My Hero

Here is a man you all should know
A fighter a poet,a war hero
He's fought extreme battles
And never gave in
Whatever the danger, whatever the pain

He gave it his all, fought again and again
He dealt with depression, he overcame pain
A hero is fashioned in so many ways
With guns and with bullets, with courage and passion
Guns and bullets are not his forte
He's not mentioned in dispatches
No orchestras will play

With courage and fervour,he's up with the best
He'll never give in, he wont let it rest
When his battle is won, no medals he'll see
But he'll wear my heart forever,my hero is he
Yes this is a man you all should know
for unsurpassed bravery, he wins above all.
