A Good Day

Her laugh broke water
     loud and uninhibited
she is left breathless.

Karim

My heart swells with anticipation
every time I think of you;
it's overpowering, overwhelming,
I wonder if you feel it too?

My pulse and mind are racing...
I feel the edge is near,
I fall deeply and completely
and I wish that you were here.

You are half a world away from me,
now it's hard to breathe,
I cry out for your love;
it's such a powerful need.

My tears are hot and heavy,
I cry for what will be,
my love for you is pouring out,
it's burning up inside me.

I feel lost in this emotion;
it's so big I lose control.
I need you here to save me.
I need you to feel whole.

J

I can't even say your name.
I feel like a child thinking of you
even a grown woman of ...
what right do you have being you?

You live rent free in my head
though mostly you're away
on business I suppose
for months or years. a day.

Then you stumble back home
interrupting a quiet scene
stirring up dust and old memories
awakening me from a dream.

Bold, loud and restless
your energy sucks me in.
the hint of a promise, of you
and you're gone again.

When will you be back?
will you leave me home alone?
you live a seperate life from me
a child that's never grown.

You walk and talk an adult life
you have a home, a wife.
You're still the boy I knew.
You hide in your reckless nightlife.

When will I get to know you?
When will you know yourself?
In the end will I still love you?
For now it's on the shelf.

26 Years

my heart has already been broken.
a thousand times, into a thousand pieces,
over a thousand years.

I feel each love as if it is the ultimate,
soul searing, universe ending love.
and every time it ends, my whole universe crashes.
my souls light and entire heart energy is broken.
into a million pieces.

shattered.
each piece sent flying out into the darkness.
never again to be seen by me.

I can't stop from falling.
I seek it out.
this undying love. I crave it.
I can't live without it.
and all it does is torture me.

I just want someone to hold my heart,
and heal all it's cracked surface.
all the old wounds.
the deep fractures of my soul.
someone to sing my song with me.

My Soul Friend

Moments. I see pictures.
I can see the real you.
a brief recognition
how does my spirit know you?

It feels so loud inside.
my heart cries out a song
I just want it to pass
your image is too strong.

I don't know what it means
I just know it's real.
So where do I put it?
I want to know how you feel

Each day spent without you
is spent in the 7th circle of hell
I'm standing robeless. Exposed.
and I'm so afraid to tell.

I've lost it all. It's nothing.
Our kinship has been broken.
The world has lost it's color.
And I just wanted you to open.

When You Come

I see forever,
and it looks like summer days.
Sitting with you,
we dream together in another place.

You touch me,
our souls energy brightens around us.
In your eyes,
the beauty of the world is limitless.

My sweet bliss,
your loving arm extends toward me.
I'm so alive.
My heart sings to a symphony.

Into forever,
we walk side by side united.
With two hearts,
and one true love ignited.

There Was a Time

There was a time, long ago
when I'd do anything for you.
Nothing that you said or did
could make me be untrue.

There was a time, long ago
when I thought you'd always care
anytime you needed me
you knew that I'd be there.

There was a time, long ago
you'd hold me all night long.
I'd look deep into your eyes
and nothing could go wrong.

Now all these days are over
and I'm still in love with you
there is no way to bring you back
there is nothing I can do.

I feel I've lost my soulmate
I've lost my other half
you still don' t feel anything
you've left me in the past.

How can I make you remember?
How can I make you see?
That there's no one else on earth
that can love you like me.
