As I lye awake and think of you
my heart always feels so blue.
I try my best to move on, but it's hard to do
since you've been gone.
Thou my heart feels like it's bleeding, I can't
stop how I'm feeling.
People say time will heal the pain but, at times
I feel I'm going insane.
I pray to god everyday, he makes my
pain go away.
I will always love you with all my heart, and know
that one day the healing will start.
But, until that day comes around I will never forget
when we laid you in the ground.
So, please God help me understand why daddy let go of my hand.

I propose a toast, will you hold up your glass?
The past has clouded both our minds, but also it has made us wiser.
So here's to the future, but what does that hold?
The future is a door of mystery.
It will knock and you will have to decide if you want to open it.
The knock gets louder and louder, the louder the knocking gets
the more you stop to think.
The past hurt so much, the decision is hard.
Wondering, what does the future have in store for me?
Is it anything like the past? For if it is, leave me alone!
Then you expand your mind, your thoughts ring out.
The knocking gets louder and louder with more speed.
Your hand is reaching for the door knob, suddenly the door blows open
throwing you back, you look up to only to notice another door yet,
this door is bigger, and the knocking begins once more, this time its harder
than before, you cover your ears to muffle the sound.
then the door opens slowly.
Fragments of love, lust, hate, and hurt fly from this door.
the tears running from your soft eyes trinkle down your face on to the floor
you look only to see three more doors. they are labeled love, hate and hurt;
but there is only one key.
Love your afraid of, hurt is a friend, and hate is a mixed emotion.
So, now your left on your own, many questions need to be answered.
The decision is yours, but which door am I behind.

Did you ever love someone and know they didn't love you?
Did you ever feel like crying and wonder what good it would do?
Did you ever see him when the lights were way down low?
Did you ever whisper to yourself "oh God I love him so?"
Did you ever look into his eyes and say a little prayer?
Did you ever look into his heart and wish that you were there?
Never fall in love my friend you'll see it doesn't pay.
Although it leaves broken hearts it happens everyday.
Love is fine, but it hurts so much and the price you pay is high.
If I had a choice between love and death, I think I'd rather die.
Thats why I say never fall in love, you'll get hurt before its thru.
because you see my friend I fell in love with you.

I was walking down the street one day
when his eyes suddenly caught my way.
My heart started to pound so fast
but, I've always known our love won't last.
I remembered the times he held me tight
and promised me everything would be all right.
I can see the sadness in his eyes
Remembering the day we said our good byes.
As he looked at me, tears fell to the ground
but, when I looked up he wasn't around.
As much as I wanted for him to stay
I then realized that I must walk away.

The time has come for us to say good bye.
My heart is shattered thou I don't know why.
My body and soul feel so old
All I wanted was you to hold.
I wish for just once you looked my way
and you not being there led me astray.
Time goes by and life goes on
But, all I have left is the memory
of our song.

To the beginning of a wonderful future but, a future of what?
For it seems every time I try to say the words, the door of emotion shuts on me.
My words of wisdom are your sounds of noise.
I wish for just one day to be with you, to show you what real love is about.
I want to take you away from the world of hurt and take you to the illusion of joy,
for joy is truly an illusion but, a mystical one.
If everyone in the world was like you, the world would be a happier place.
but, there is only one you, and thats why you are so beautiful in my eyes.
My body is young, my soul is tired and old yet, this does not matter for if your around
I am filled with hope and peace.
so, for what its worth you are the king of my dreams.
Tonight when you lye in your bed think of the words spoken, and the thoughts revealed
(don't forget me)
for you will realize my secret feeling which is no longer a secret.

As long as I don't forget you,
Long as I breath the air.
I want to hold and love you,
I'll always want you there.
As long as we've been parted,
My heart crys out for more.
But, I still love you
So, much more than before.
As long as you keep telling me
That our love will always last,
lets try to go with the future
and forget about the past.
As long as you're beside me
happy is what i'd be.
but, this is the choice you made
not to be a part of me.

There once was a bird locked up in a cage, that was all alone, left with only frustration and rage.
This bird always wandered how it felt to fly, to spread its wings across the sky.
Day and night the dreams went on but, all it could do was sing its song.
If you look deep in its eyes you can see the hurt and pain but, without wings there is nothing to gain.
There came a day its owner lost the key and this poor bird was finally set free, for you see , this bird was me.
So, please help me spread my wings and show me the way, for in this cage I don't want to stay.

Have you ever felt trapped within?
trapped with only hate and pain,
don't know the difference anymore between a fantasy or reality?
How can I break free from these chains that tie me down?
they only seem to get heavier and heavier by the day.
I feel as if there is no way out.
these chains cut me at day and make me bleed at night.
Confusion dwells over me.
mixed emotions play fiercfully in my heart.
I cry for help, but no one hears me.
I reach my hand out but theres no one there.
I feel as if I'm sinking in quicksand it gets deeper and deeper
by the day.
I keep searching for a way out, but I can't seem to find it. I must keep trying for if I sink, theres no way out.
