Addictions and Heartache

Who and what would I be if I could not see?
How would I know what was in front of me?
And could I sense what was really there?
Or would I think it was not fair?
Who and what would I be if I could not feel?
How would I know if love was real?
If I could use that inner voice...
Would I realize I had a choice?
Who and what would I be if I could not hear?
How would I know what not fear?
If I could remember who I was...
Or would I trade it for that little buzz?
Who and what would I be if I could not smell?
How would I know or even tell?
If I could be happy once more...
Or would I choose to shut that door?
Who and what would I be if I could not taste
My lifes feels like such a waste
Just want to fly like a dove
Unable to be with my one true love
Who and what would I be if I could not speak
against the poison I am weak
I've been so lonely, crying like a fallen child
The sadness inside is growing more wild
Who and what will I become if I keep on this path?
How would I handle Hells great wrath?
If I don't stop my lifes at stake
'Cause the addictions waiting for my soul to take.
Who and what would remember me
Perhaps only the heart we carved on that big oak tree
Cant live this way, I'd rather die
So when Im gone ....Please dont ask why

Jasmine

JASMINE
We have had our ups, we have had our downs
Back and forths and all arounds.
We yelled at each other, both thought we were right
Once we even had a fist fight
Both made mistakes, but thats in the past.
You've grown up so beautiful, seems way too fast.

You deserve a man that has more respect.
I am your mother, your mine to protect.
When you called and I answered the phone,
I was worried when I heard your tone.
Sounded like you had been crying
I asked if he hit you...I knew you were lying.

You got so defensive and ended the call.
I threw the phone and started to bawl.
I taught you to always be strong
Even when others think that your wrong
I will stand by your side with decisions you make.
Because I love you, even after the last breath I take.

Gone, So Goodbye

GONE, SO GOODBYE

I miss your soft lips, gentle touch and the Brown of your eyes.
Can't seem to find myself, pretending, just keep living the lies.
It was your time, I have to let you go.
Painful to admit, the tears start to flow.
But my darling it's been a long four years.
Now I must move forward. I've overcome my fears.
As one last tear falls to the page,
I am no longer full of sadness and rage
You will be in my heart even after I die
I now accept you are
                           GONE, SO GOODBYE
