The Artist

The circles dialate
behind the minds frame.
Canvased images vibrate.
Paint chipped torn and worn
The vision has become blurred.
rotate, twist, twirl, and stir
The brush strokes.
Its words heard
Ancient and antique this caligraphy
Through this method
your sky can speak
limitless and boundless leaps.
Observe the beauty in these feats.
An artist within broken free
to shape the world inside.
Tho one I wish to see.

Colors

She guides me in and sits me down.
Not the Remington portable typewriter this time.
I grab a pen and some parchment they have more life i believe.
The mechanical twists and clanks sound so hollow.

In this depression my colored skin only attracts sorrow.
I would like to escape on one of those planes high in the sky.
I dream of a ticket to ride wings to tomorrow.
If only this ear piece of gold was worth mountains of gold.

Everything so stagnant, grey and cold.
She offers a cig of course i say no.
I see the ashtray full of lipsticked butts.
Each puff takes life from her soul.

How to be free from this life.
They yell and throw stones.
My darling my lover to hide our love isn't right.
I see only our union it's colorless.
Why must everyone else see black and white.

Dragonfly

It always starts with a whisper.
A quite before the storm.
Building up to a rip, a fissure
then inside eruptions
kaleidoscoped palisades
divided by mirrors.
My eyes elope into one
that sees much more clear.
The fluid pours uncontested
to the mouth of my river.
The taste elate my sense.
You can feel the current.
The earth and sky with pupose.
i love it, i live it, i learn it

The storm hits.
My imagination sprinkles.
1000 feet 500 people
revolting against their captors
blood falling soaked in evil.
We end at the feet
of the one they call master.
The monarch
butterflies cascade through the sky
and turn it black as night.
Flowers cover the bodies of people.
Trees overtake all of the steeples.
Mountains break ground
and thunder through cathedrals
good overtakes evil.
Yeah that's it, this place
this is where i shall leave you
the chaos is over and now
it turns peaceful.

I hope you enjoyed this.
I hope for you like me
it was like a vacation.
However I can't take credit.
the sound that turned into music
was not mine.
I am just a poet
that took it and framed it.
I owe it to the dragonfly
for he is who whispered.

Home

.
A man sits in a room
legs folded head down
a pen rolling around
in front he grabs
draws the words
of multiple colors
the colors change
with what the words offer
the ceiling, walls, and floor white
empty besides the man and his colors

some green here some red there
orange splat and yellow sprays
purple spills, indigo is in the air
he continues for days and days
until the white is gone
his legs arms and body strong
to the imagination this feat belongs

there is no where left for color
so then he sketched the door
and sat back on the floor
stared for hours at this door
afraid to escape what he creates
finally the nerve gathered
he reached for the handle
bum bum.. bum bum.. bum bum
his heart in great suspense
the knob he turned
the door swung open .gasp.
to his surprise with his lonely eyes
there were more there were more
people with colors everywhere
minds creating there own
but together the pictures had grown
into a connected life of there own
so he ran his footsteps and breath
his heart, mind and soul
left tracks of color
meshed with rest
no longer alone the man had found home

It Goes Fast

Can i pay for a second?

To talk for a minute.

Can we escape for an hour?

Wake up the next day.

I'll call you next week.

We'll fix the patio this month.

Married this year.

He's in kindergarten at 5.

On the porch coffee and cigarettes.

We have been riding the decades.

70 smiling no reason for hiding.

At a gravestone confiding

Thank you for that second.

You gave me life undying.

Gn Vibes

Vibes ride high tide
Inside minds eyes
Spilling up within sky
Limitless without divide

Onward gracious hearts
Beating pumping art
Souls breathe eternally
Against grain breaking free

Community eloped within thee
Hands fall upwards stoically
Pores elate priceless synergy
The chemistry the chemistry

Honeysuckle

As simple as it seems
All life in between
Shines through the canvas
It rays and it beams
To find is to look
To look is to be seen

This is the trouble
This is the hurdle
Built up courage
Ideas freshly planted
In the garden lay fertile

The rain from the storm
The sun follows after
They grow the best
Through life's natural disasters

Search and seek
Be wary the meek
Believe in one's self
The weeds will grow
Crazy though
Ugly at first unbearable
Be patient and wait
Honeysuckles so sweet
Arrive on weeds late

Escape

I am an ocean in motion.
I live in absolute devotion
to everlasting mental explosion.
I ride the vibe music wise.
Better yet heart wise.
Unlearning I have prescribed myself.

So much uselessness from foolishness.
Sick ridden they leave the kids.
Pounded, prodded and mishandled.
Their minds being misshapened.
I want to help them escape it.
The same way I did. Believe it.

I say believe it. Please leave it.
Leave them escape intact.
React with facts. Battle back.
You are all mighty a deity.
Trust your cards the deck is stacked.

Defeat the wicked displace within it
erupt with vision to see within them
unload a cataclysmic arrangement
grab your guns fill your clips
with intense words fantastic wits

Watch it fall then walk away
take note of the feat done today
remember the sweat, blood and tears
the steps you took to land here
all the things used
again you will need them
for now embrace the freedom
