New Start

In the beginning we were just friends.
But I never thought we'd be in love in the end!
You make me feel special and you always were true.
Little did I know that I'd be in love with you!
You were my first and I made the right choice.
And you always loved to hear my voice.
I could be myself and I want to thank you for that.
Even though we aren't together sometimes I want that feeling back.
Being separated from you doesn't make me feel very good.
People tell me to move on and I know that I should.
When I try to move on I feel that it's the wrong thing to do.
I say that because that's when I start really missing you.
No matter what happens you'll always be in my heart.
A new year has began and we both need a new start.
