Silence

Silence.
Just the sound of waves crashing against the shore
And no more.
No more voices of doubt and regret,
Or self disrespect.
No more heart break,
Or separation ace.
No more waiting for a new dawn,
Or old pain to be gone,
No more wishing away thoughts that will not budge.
Just silence...
The silence of love.

Colors of the Wind

To lazy to think we sit our lives and stare,
Using our brains seems to much to bare.
The signals, the signs are all shoved aside
To make way for our illusions, to make way for our pride.
Duty calls, yet "chilling" shouts louder,
So we send our obligations away with left over Dixie powder.
The simmering plastic seems more beautiful than the diamond not shined,
So our goals are washed away by the moments of "fun " we fined,
And the gifts we receive everyday become a mere tool to waste away
As eating, sleeping, eating becomes the mission of our day...
Till eventually we turn into robots on automatic routine,
We do what is expected of us as children, grown ups and teens.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why, what for?
Have you ever let inspiration slip through your door?
Have you ever seen a sunrise, feel the hope it bestows,
Have you ever gasped at the fact that a dead dead grows?
Have you ever marveled at a butterfly for the change it has done,
Can you hear the wind whisper as you run?
Have you learned a lesion from nature and that wish surrounds you,
Have you grown wiser as the years begin to pass you?

'Cause you can own earth and still all you'll own is earth until-
You can paint with all the colors of the wind.

Mistakes

Here I am again saying sorry for my mistakes,
For not bending my heart.
There you stand tart,
And I am the source of your pain,
And I wish I could reframe
This hole sticky situation.
Can you feel my frustration,
Felling yours,
Still knowing closing doors
Is the only way to go about.
And I may create a drought,
Empty of connection,
Thirsty for affection
From both ends of the line,
Yet clarity your not mine
Has been there all along,
Trying to prove myself wrong
Brought us to where we are.
And now it's gone too far.
So with all my being I must let you go,
Farewell, my friend,
And may inner pease bestow.

Beautiful

I've met people young and old,
who compliment my hair so gold,
And my blue blue eyes, like the ocean on a sunny day,
And curves and height which make heads turn my way.
They say I am beautiful, That in looks I reign.
But truth is this is a crown I will not forever obtain.
And so I thank politely and shove them aside,
Working hard to not let them become food to my pride.
Yet the other day an old lady with sun glasses on a rainy day,
Inquired my help to fined her way.
As I settled her in her final destination,
She held my hand soft as she made a declaration;
She peered into my soul with eyes that can not see
And said:
"You are beautiful".

Flowers

blinded by guilt,
the world begins to tilt,
pushing me, shoving me away away…
every compliment seems unnatural,
my thoughts warped and irrational,
as pedals turn into blades…
every shadow’s out to get me,
the world weighs down heavy,
my gold heart colored black within my chest.

yet when fiends me liberty,
unleashing my self captivity,
i begin to breath, breath…
forgiveness seeps in,
my world begins to spin,
old walls no longer hold me back.
i am worthy,
my legs sturdy,
i can stand up straight.
there is peace within me,
arms spread wide, i am free!
i found a place to call mine inside.
i can see, i can feel,
ghosts gone -this is real,

and flowers are just what they always have been - flowers.

Beside Me

I can feel your grip as you seem to let go.
I see hope, little whispers of "be patient"!
I read signs saying soon dawn will break...
And you can't fool me with the pain you inflict.
I know,
 I Know
       your here.

Relationships

We want it... but we don't.
We pray and search to hold,
Yet when we hold, we curse.
So much of our pain emerges from its midst.
And still the worst pain is the  absence of it.
As time and time again,
We hurt and break
And love.

Defying Gravity

It happens when birds sing hope,
And caterpillars fly.
When aunts gleefully dance,
White fluff patch the sky.
Then, when pebbles support,
And flowers bloom,
When children skip,
New life exists womb.
When waves lick the sore,
When seagulls find their pray.
When touched by the finish line,
And dawn brings day.
When dreams don't end when awoke,
And smiles don't fade.
When wind shouts freedom,
And the sound of happiness is played;

I know I could defy gravity.

The Silence of War

The sun shines as the breeze blows,
And the birds chirp to themselves.
The sky painted blue,
Staying untrue,
to the feeling spread.
Roads lay empty,
swings swing bare.
Fear, tension, like fog
a cloud of despair.
And silence.
The silence of war.

I Walk On the Moon

I will fight for what's right no matter the cost.
no matter the pain, I shan't be lost.
I'll fight for my belief,
when the walls start to shatter,
I'll close my eyes tight and remmber what matters.
I'll stand alone, still I'll hold my back straight
in a world of black and white, I'll create
my oun color
and when the voices shout to hush me,
I will be quiet,
and shove a fat middle finger
up there smug puny faces
f them all- I walk on the moon.
