The Silence of War

The sun shines as the breeze blows,
And the birds chirp to themselves.
The sky painted blue,
Staying untrue,
to the feeling spread.
Roads lay empty,
swings swing bare.
Fear, tension, like fog
a cloud of despair.
And silence.
The silence of war.
