I Love the Sound of Your Voice

I love the sound of your voice
My heart sings when you speak
Turns into symphonies and orchestras
Of sweet melodious bliss
That when my ear tastes
My inner joy swells and abounds
Like a river in spate
Unfettered, deep, and resounding
Fresh as the medleys of life
That feed from infinite vastness
I love the sound of your voice
It is soft as doves, captivating and beautiful
Granted to hear now and ever after
Through morning, noon and night
Summer, winter and spring
Then I would gather each sentiment
Like lilies and toss
Each scent that is hope and peace
Upon the bed of my soul
Where the voice that I love to hear
Would come to me with angel kisses
And be my lullaby.

Dream

Life to be lived
I have realized to appreciate
The heart must answer destiny’s call
And find the courageous steps
To move forward with a goal in mind
Guiding thoughts on paths of inspiration
And pray that love, laughter and pure bliss
Will be the faithful companion by my side
That when days seem dark
And the day’s challenge seems a cold tiding
Will decorate the soul with bright promise
For the dream perched upon the heart
Sings the sweetest melody
So that when the soul listens
Hears the music of tomorrow
And dances to a faith that won’t die
I am no stranger to this world
Where life to be lived and lived fully
The dream must be breathed and embraced daily

I Am

I am an ocean of joy
Vast, resounding, glorious beauty
Rolling in melody upon melody of celebration
Swaying to the rhythm of treasured memories
I am depth, I am might, I am alive
Once my tide was filled
With the laughter of a child
So pictures pirouetted like mists
On the shore of my mind
That world is now sucked in by time
And as I count the years
It is with a grateful heart
For as before and always
The life before and behind
Has always been to my eye
A great adventure
So I pray for tomorrow
That I will cradle still
The dream filled
With sweetest bliss. – (Trinity Chasara 07/11/14)

Three Lovers

Three lovers: by Trinity Chasara 14/3/14
I followed two bliss-drunk lovers
Down a country path
Through flitting shadow
The great void of silence
Soothing sweet waves of moonlight
Just to be close to the warmth
That did freely flow gently
Over gentle lips and flaming touches
Munificent creatures in the best entwine of desire
‘My beautiful lover,’ I heard him say
With voice tainted with faux of charm
And the hues of love did spread on her cheeks
Like the beauteous designs of butterflies
That in memory’s cathedral yawned litanies
Sprawled over random hypnotic motions
I looked and looked and drank the sight
Two blossoms warbling flatteringly
Over a dreamy delight
But like birds they did see the stranger
And flew away in flutter
Down the clustered weeds
Of a surreptitious quest

Dance My Soul

Dance my soul

Though your day is dark

And night is long-cold

Take heart for the tide will soon turn

And pain fades away

It has been a winding tedious journey

But the dawn is near

And glad tidings will soon unfurl

Fear not the shadow and the uncertainty it brings

Hope is the light and faith the fire

Let faith burn and hope shine

The place of thorns where you stand

Is but a steppingstone into blossomed garden

And you shall fragranced find

The song and dance

Of your resurrected greatness.

Tale of a Villain and Rascal

Shame has no fancy stroking
I write this tale with a bleeding pen and choking heart
For the character is a braggadocio person
A villain who wore his blinders like flamboyant apparel
Wouldn’t see the truth
It hurt his jaundiced eye he would say
And so he pretended the masses loved him
And if his deaf ear could open
He would hear the whispers of their acrimony
The sizzling embers of their rage
The ones he bruised and would not care
Clothed in rags and derided like his marionettes
But they saw his strutting nudity
A villain; a rascal; a buccaneer
Donned in suits of the white men he abhorred
Drunk in power that gave him his blindness
Bob the plunderer would not see or hear
That his end was nigh
And like the grime he was
To grime he would forever lie
And the nation he once raped
Shall piss on his rotting grave.

I Am a Loved, Cherished Jewel

My day is blessed with leaping, blissful heart
And as I look upon the days that rolled past
And found in their path the hue of seasons
My soul cannot help but smile
On the memories that glitter on my crown
I continue to be allured by hope
To rejoice in the little and great things
And find in the unveiling dreams
That I am a loved, cherished jewel.

Echoes of Silence

Echoes of silence
I exist not
In sweet colorful light
Beautiful glow
Nor shining flame
My world is shadow
Dark mystical depth
I have no voice
Yet I wail
I have nothing
Yet I overflow
The rage of mighty waters cascades within my soul
Clanging and banging like a drunk dong
The bells of time deride
Still the cathedral of applause stands forlorn
I have become
The faceless phantom
A thousand senseless words
A poet if the title can be stolen
Subdued in silent echoes
                                                    (Trinity Chasara 23/05/14 03:40am)

Painted Memories

If I could create with words a picture worthy of accolades
To recite the story of my life as painted by time’s hands
On memory’s glorious object
My pen would be tipped with beautiful balm
That at each stroke counts the blessed bliss
Of a soul sated with dream
I have lived in the light of hope
I have laughed in the warmth of family
I have embraced the enfolding arms of destiny
And as I stand on yet another stage of life
I salute the love that has stayed
The friends that have prayed and blessed with genuine smiles
Joyously I sing my tale
Chant the chant of appreciation
For you have all been to me
A high-spread sky where my star was allowed to shine
The reflection s of an ever varying, flooding light
Bursting forth in your victorious hearts
Cheering me on.

When Innocence Sang

I miss the native feeling
Strutting in dreamy notions
Of naked desire
Reflecting on wonder and delight
Long as love
Unfictional and untethered
Spawning the literature of hope
I miss the genuine smiles
The laugher of faith
Broadcasting courage to the soul
Of sweet liberating echoes
Dancing in surrender
Where the soul finds its music
In the purity of innocence
