He's There

He's there everywhere I go,
He's there everything I do.
I try to pull away,
as he grabs my arm.
I try to hide,
as he is the shadow standing behind me.
I try to speak within,
as he is the voice within my head,
that just will not go away.
They say its just memories,
that's pulling me back.
So I step back out the doors,
as a strong breeze says his name.
Its impossible to make him see,
he needs to leave me be,
As the love was once there,
but I have another now here.
So set me free,
Please let me be.

They Say

They say time heals the heart,
They say memories fade with time,
Do they know,
Or do they care?
This is my life,
thats up in the air.
As I scream,
no one hears.
And when I cry,
its never my goodbye's.
The love was there,
can you hear,
it's not gone away,
not even near.
The pain is deep,
like a knife.
I can hear his voice,
and see his face,
he is standing behind me,
and he is in my son's face.
