Selfish

In the midst of this life,
I find this world selfish,
More close to devilish,
Why are people so?
Why can’t everyone just be nice?
Why does everything have to have a price?
Nothing is free they say,
In this world of chaos,
Ego is centered on one thing,
Me and I and Me, you see,
There is no place for anyone else,
But ME!

Why does it have to be this way?
In the end,
How can I change this?
Is there something that I have missed?
Now maybe you can help me,
By telling me who you would like to be,

Is it me, me and me?
Or is there something else to life.. other than me?

I feel like I am burning,
I am lit up with flames,
The selflessness is gone,
and all I am left with is me and my brain.

Expectations

Never settle for less they say,

But don’t we settle everyday,

The moments of Joy and Pain,

Are they all, just in vain?

Don’t we learn from our mistakes?

Something’s we make,

And something’s we break!

Who do we do this for? For whose sake?

Life is full of twists and turns,

Sometimes we live, sometimes we burn,

It’s all a game they say,

It’s just like a watching bunch of kids play!

Maybe there is a point to this life,

Sometimes I wonder, why the strife?

Why the sadness, why the pain?

Why do people, drive you insane?

Taking the issue to a deeper level,

It might just be because of the devil!

Or maybe we sowed some bad seeds,

And it’s all coming back to us, indeed!

We try to do the right thing,

But in turn we get a sting,

Why is it, that it has to be this way?

I feel like this is every day!

Are my stars not in the right position?

I think my brain needs an incision,

I think way too much for my own good,

I wish there was somewhere that I stood.

It all comes down to one thing,

What is it, to the table I bring?

I love, I care, I sacrifice,

But then they ask, where is the spice?

It is never enough you see!

Whatever you say to me,

Finally it all comes down to me,

It’s all in what perspective, you see…

My Mother

Adorable, auspiciously -

Blessed

Comrade, companion -

Destined (to me, for)

Eternity. Enchanting -

Friend,

Genuine, Gods gift

Helper

Ideal.

Joker, Joyful - juggler, Just

Kind,

Loveable

Mommy Machine.

Noble

Optimistic

People person.

Quiet (the) Queen

Reincarnated (to be with me)

Soothing

Tantalizing, thoughtful

Unimaginable

Vision.

Welcoming, well known – World wide

Xtra-Ordinary

Youthful

Zesty....

My mom the queen...!

Who Defines You

Define yourself,

Who you are,

You are what you see in the mirror,

Do you see yourself?

Or do you see someone else?

You are the people around you,

You are the earth you stand on,

But more over,

You are your parents,

You are your friends,

You are your teachers,

These are the people,

These are the people,

Who mold you!

The people you spend time with,

They are the people you live with,

Teach you, wrong from right.

If the foundation is strong,

The building won’t fall,

But if it is weak,

They say, “The building will break.”

Who Am I?

I am the person next to you,

Sitting on that seat,

The person who raises her hand at every beat

Trying to understand who, where and why?

What for, when and how?

Is this the best way?

Can it be better?

Does it really matter?

Then it goes on from there,

Like a programme in the air,

That’s how my mind works,

Drawbacks and benefits is where my mind lurks.
