I Will Walk

Point me to the way
And I'll start walking today
Smooth it out or lay it with rocks
Sure doesn't matter
My legs will still walk
My body won't turn
Nor will my mind flutter
My knees won't quiver
Or my lips stutter
I will stand proud and tall
For myself overall
I will walk...
I will walk...
I will walk.

Leave Me Be

Stop looking at me
And touching me
And asking if I'm okay
I don't care what you think
No I don't want to go
Leave me be,
I just want to pray

I want to cry on my own
Go back to my home
And dwell in my own secret place
Leave me be I say!
I said I'm alright
Stop calling me up
All day, every night

Don't pity on me
Call me hard-headed
Call me mean
But for now
I am fine
This you need to see

Leave me be
Leave me be
I beg of you please
Leave me be!
Let me be...
Leave me...please.

The Dying Rose

Today I sat in my room
And found that your rose had died.
I saw it as everlasting,
But when it died I felt that I had
nothing.
I don't know what possessed me to
think it never would,
But I wish it'd bloom and forever live,
As my heart felt it should.

I fell to my knees...
Shriveled and hard it crackled in my
hands.
I grasped it even tighter and began
to unfold the ends.
For every petal that fell back,
I counted all the reasons why
Our love will live years past the
roses,
Until our souls flew to the sky.
One, for the way you deal with me
when I show you no appreciation.
Five, for the apologies for putting you
through all my frustrations.
Eight, for promising to emphasize
the better things you do.
Seven, for thanking God for crafting
me to stand beside
No other but you.

All I'm trying to say is our love is like
a rose.
We climb the tallest of mountains
And we are hurt by many things.
But there at the top of it all
Is the beauty that our love will bring.

Today I sat in my room
And found that your rose had died.
But noticed that our love
Will soon courageously come alive.

I Let You Raise Me

I Let You Raise Me

Oopsey daisies!
I let you raise me,
And I ended up
Falling in love.

Minded my business;
You're not on my wish list,
But you were wrapped,
And I opened you up.

You are my present, my future,
And battles of my heart you conquered.
As a gift, All I want....
Is your sweetness
And the inevitable love unknown.

I Have a Heart Too

I have a heart
Like most of us do
And all I requested
That it be loved by you

I have a soul
And I have a good mind
And every once and while
You try to batter me down
As if I don't cry

I have a heart to feel
To grieve what's real
And I have eyes
Which I forced to be blind
So I won't have to see
A love that has died.

I Have a Heart Too!

Be That Man

Will you help the child That has fallen on the road, That has given up? Reached their defeated mode? Will you help the girl With tainted garments With no way to catch The flow from her bodily functions? Will you stop to help The little lost boy, Who suffers from his parent's mistakes, From decisions which he did not make? Though good deed Are nothing but rags And do not admit you Into the reserved riches of after-life Will you be the man Who knows the time and when To bless the lives of others That can do not a thing In exchange for them?
