Kaleigh Murdock Poem
Silver shine reflects
Crying eyes and frowning lips
Mirrors hold the truth.

Kaleigh Murdock Poem
Your ship sails across the blue,
crystalline water
With the sun bouncing gently off the bay,
leaving it gleaming like stars
My fleet stays ashore
I'm too scared to let them go.
And I hope one day I don't lie alone,
regretting all the ships that never sailed.

Kaleigh Murdock Poem
Come softly to me,
Wash over me,
Flutter gently to my side.
I don't ask for much but,
God, I need you tonight.

Kaleigh Murdock Poem
Look through the world with eyes not your own.
Sit atop a back with wings that have flown,
To a thousand new lands
Come hold these old cracked hands.
When you walk the world in someone else's shoes;
You realize how much of your life you choose.
You choose to be joyful or sad,
Or to be carefree or mad
And when you take back your own eyes
Look up to the skies
and you will see, you will truly see
Just what it means to really be free.

Kaleigh Murdock Poem
If you ever forget you you are
remember, you come from Earth
and are made of star
You were born of sea and sand
and sprouted legs
to walk on land
Next, you'll conquer the sky
Unfurl your wings
and try to fly.
