A Subtle Summer

summer starts
we're never apart
always and forever

summer ends
now we're just friends
waiting for tomorrow

angel blue eyes
final goodbyes
make my heart break

a subtle summer is all it takes

Good Advice

the joy of coming together again
is put to the test when the rest
of the world decides
that this match is impossible
family and friends are concerned again
that all he'll do is break your heart
they say it's time you spread apart
you think it through
you let the influence of others
rock your mind
then you think of his eyes
how he's always kind
you realize you can make his heart break
by walking out the door
you don't need them anymore
those others who influence pain
and drain the life out of you
it's time they remember that
your life is worth living and it's
nothing but good advice
that they should be giving

Nobody Is Perfect

unexplainable actions
determine whether or not
making decisions non-stop twirls my world
can't think about what's right
and what's wrong
no one is that strong
i will make mistakes
until my heart breaks
i will write these words
until i have no more words to write
cry these tears
until i have no more tears to cry
i will try
i will conquer this world and move to the next
without a breath to spare
i will conquer each dare
and not care whos listening in
and start all-over again

Yellow

the shine in your eyes
lights up the world it once was
your system is crashing
and you won't tell me why
that light is dying
and you won't tell me
the reason behind
promises of eternal sleep
swarm your mind
the promises we once made
no longer count
count me out
if you are no longer there
bad come-backs
mixed with reality
pours cold water
on the heat that once was
it can't be undone
you're gone until the
forever night
dawns bright
with light from the sun.

Pulling the Trigger

lay back down to this once goodnight,
see the moon shine blacken streaks,
on a glow in the dark pistol,
aiming at this black hole of mind,
faith drippinng past recognition,
dripping past a white moon,
this black existance, controling,
pulling the trigger,
aim once,
turn around and
imagine this once goodnight

Lost Patriot

we named her America
after we fought for the one
we love so dear
now we weep when
the beating of her heart
no longer sounds so clear
we find fault layed on others
whos judgement is clouded
we don't blame ourselves
we don't even think about it
we make music and cry small tears
to celebrate a life once lived
in the complete happiness of being young
we ponder over how one so strong
could have faltered on a road so long
a freedom fighter that set no foot wrong
is taken from the road she once walked on
in her last moments of life
she tried to hold on
she did her best
she died of a broken heart
nothing more
and nothing less

Break Away

cross the line that was drawn
to keep you away
there's never a day
where more boundaries don't appear
you close an ear to authority
and still follow the rules of schools, home, and work
we deal with jerks of society
and manage to survive
you strive for success
not worrying about how you dress
you make mistakes
it's the way of the world
get used to the twists and twirls of reality
going left and right
shine bright as a star
and only be who you are

Last Words 2 Rhyme

ambition is the creation
of my determination
to set these words down
before i drown in society's
own twisted glory
my story is not one told lightly
i have never shined as brightly
as that star i wished upon
these walls are designed
to make me fall
before i get a chance to call
for the help that i seem to need
chasing dreams
and counting the screams
of those others
who are also destined to fail
my fairy tale will never
have that happy ending
i will continue fending off attackers
and atrracters of games
that i refuse to play
my demise will not come until
those i despise
see sense and despense
of a life of half-existance
i don't deny that fact that
every man deserves a trial
but psychological genocide
just isn't my style

Sonnet

Does love hurt only when lovers part,
Or are wounds created in the meeting?
Should cracks and breaks form in a heart,
When love itself is just barely fleeting?
All love ends through death and time,
Do we love then lose, or remain lonely?
Should I risk the break for love’s dull chime,
Or stay true to friends and family only?
If love does end in pained goodbyes,
Is this my fault or destiny’s ending?
Our love did end in woeful sighs,
Did we meet with broken hearts pending?
And when love’s endless night draws near,
Let my fear of love and loss, disappear.
