Star

(vs.1)
you're my star girl
but you're to far away from me
I'll give my all girl
so bring it back to me
(vs.2)
I won't be long girl
I'm running right to your heart
it can't be wrong girl
I loved you from the start

(chorus)
oh girl.... save your love for me, oh girl bring it back to me

(vs.3)
you're my star girl
I'm getting closer everyday
it's not too far girl
my love is here to stay
(vs.4)
it won't be long girl
til' I'm right by your side
to your arms girl
where love is open wide

oh girl.... save your love for me, oh girl bring it back to me

(bridge)
my love will remember
without you I am dark
forget you, no I'll never
let go of the star of my heart.... oh

(vs. 5)
you're my star girl
my love I give to you
in my eyes girl
you know just what to do
(vs.6)
you're my star girl
the wait we've overcome
and all my days with you I'll stay
cause you're the only one.

oh girl....save your love for me, oh girl bring it back to me. (x 8 fade out)

Me and U

Calibrating
measurements in tune
swoon
Mechanisms of long well thought emotions
racing over a body of energy
that beckons for a bulb to brighten up this mood
this day.... this world
girl
you know it's true
I do believe in you
in us.... the sanctity of trust that reigns
supreme
ya know what I mean.

Not mysterious like the fog
that rolls in with the morning dew
but sure as the sun by day
the moon at night and all that's right
to see between the pages
the lines and the spaces
not just the sheets
is where to meet the soul of another
Calibrating
measurements in tune
swoon
Collaborating with you.

Help

Gone are the days
when we used to wave
used to play we
used to rave
about flowers and children
and really tall buildings
that touch the sky
and the hearts of
all that walk by
hoping for the chance
to settle in this
city that we love so much.

Gone are the days
when we used to cry we
used to sigh we
used to feel low
when somebody died
but the visions the feed us
begin to bleed us
and the young feed on them
to come full circle again
in this dream of reality
we call life and death.

Gone are the days
when we used to kiss we
used to hug we
used to miss each other
when we were apart
even when we were
together....holding hands
so tight we left
prints on the back of our palms
marking our arms
with tatoos of I LOVE YOU
found in the Psalms
Proverbs and the Song of Solomon
but ignorance from our
next of kin
won't allow us to ever win
til' these days of ours
are going, going
Gone are the days
Gone are the nights
Gone are the humans.
