Sweets In the Suite

Savory watermelon, sour apple
My taste buds arouse at the thought
Of the unimaginable experience to come
The sweetest sensation to conquer my mouth
I can't wait to open the wrapper

Sweets in the suite for me

The lobby was fully of these tiny eats
A lady even offered one to me
A warhead I was warned never to meet
Their taste too sour to even remotely please
Too late I swallowed it with ease
It was the wrong decision indeed
That's the last of those I'll ever see
No more candy in the suite for me

Loyal Friend, Never Forgotten

I wasn't there to say goodbye

I often contemplate the reasons why

You were very sick that day

I still went to a friends to stay

My phone buzzed with the final news

That you had gone there were no clues

A dog, my friend for 16 years

I shed that worth amount in tears

Dicken my dear you were my brother

You took care of me like a mother

If I could say something to you

It's that I'm sorry and love you too

I would not want to relive that day

But it's in my memory here to stay

Adore Me

Adoration

We all crave it

We crave the person who can't get enough of us

We want to be noticed

We do what we can to stand out

But sometimes it just isn't enough

To get that one person to turn their head

Notice me

I'm right here

Come closer to me

Come near

You are what I want

Although it may not seem it

I hide it well

I guess you don't believe it

I adore you

I only want the same

It's a natural feeling

One you cannot tame

What must I do?

Why can't you see?

The person who likes you

Is obviously me

All I want in return for my love

Is the one feeling I crave

Adoration

Will you be my save?

Save me, adore me

You are the one

That person I noticed

Adore me and I've won

Teenagers

The youth of today becomes
The future of tommorrow.
All hope is placed upon the
Shoulders of this generation.
To carry on the world, make it a
Better place, achieve greatness.
The expectation is given, no
Input is required from those whom it
Is given to. We are given a final
Destination, the path being left to
Wherever we decide to go. Little
Does this generation know we are
Prey for the hawks. Every move we
Make sets off an alarm, bound to
Earn a scolding from society. They
Are quick to notify us of our
Underperformance, our failure, and
Our lacking ability to complete their
Desired task. We are now labeled the
Poisons of society. All in an attempt
To please, but that isn't seen.

Close Enough To Feel, Although Unreal

Love is false to those like I
Whimsical enough to dip their feet in such dangerous waters

Confiding our faith in one presumed to hold our heart
Overlooking our indecisive nature

Intoxicated with, but oblivious to the ignorance
Of the concept of forever, with them
Holding close-fistedly onto the hand that only knocked you down

The desire for them painfully develops from craving into a longing urgency
A misguided belief gone amiss
Mutualism for the other nonexistent in their intangible eyes

Spiraling in a mutilated defeat seems fit the exclusive option
Once brought to consciousness of your now brutal reality
You were doubtless in your supposition

For a second you were conclusively unequivocal
That you were close enough to possess and proclaim…their Love

Summer

The sun is out and about

The dew is freshly wet

The wind is swift and smooth

What simply don't you get?

Summer has finally arrived

You can kiss your worries goodbye

Just glance up at the sky

And watch the birds fly

They don't have a worry

They're moving right along

And if you listen hard enough

You'll hear them hum a song

So what's the problem?

Why are you hesitant?

Just enjoy yourself

And whatever it is forget it

Soak it in

Laugh out loud

Go ahead and sin

Because you're party bound

Pardon Me, Did You Just

He poked me, he definitely just poked me

Who is this boy?

I'm facing him but he's turned away

Oh how cute he is

Again, he poked me again

Maybe he's flirting...

Perhaps I'm just crazy

But he definitely just poked me

Facing him again, our eyes meet

He isn't shy to hide his grin now

My cheeks flush crimson

So he is flirting.....

Why with me though?

This better not be a dream

I really hope this isn't a dream

But he is definitely dreamy oh my

Do I talk to him?

Poke

Alright, he asked for it

Fingers crossed

"Pardon me, did you just poke me?"

His pearly grin is back

He scoots closer

Success!

The Perfect Christmas Gift

The perfect gift
Is often a myth
It's clearly out of reach

You're already gone
Never to respawn
But listen to me preach

The best gift of all
Is hearing your call
And having you back with me

It's been too long
I wrote us a song
I wish you were here to see

Christmas is about love
The innocence of a dove
But also family

Grandpa that's you
We all know it's true
I fall right under your tree

You are my gift
That one wish
I'll glance up at the moon

I'll blow you a kiss
It'll never miss
Grandpa I'll see you soon
                                                                -

Bully

Bully is a term used too loosely

Everything nowadays can be related to bullying

Everyone is a bully, every action is a form of bullying

Bullying is real, however it is sometimes used as an excuse

That is what irritates me

Some people out there are bullied to the point of suicide

Some people are bullied to the point of self-hate

Bullying like that is ignored on a daily basis by issues dealing nothing with bullying, rather using the term bullying

There are endless talks about stopping bullying

However it takes action to do something, to cause a change

So let's make a change

That girl who gave you the stink eye

Thats not bullying

That is a negative opinion

That boy who taunts you in school and over the internet who told you to kill yourself

That is bullying

That needs to be dealt with

Because its people like that who grow up to do serious damage

It all starts with a thought, a decision

What even is bullying?

What is a bully?

Can you define it?

Nor can I

There are so many different definitions that it makes me wonder

We cannot accurately describe exactly what a bully is and does

But we can accurately pick out a bully among the crowd

It's called instinct, it's a vibe

You know one when you see one

The power is in your hands, our hands, to stop bullying

We can do this

We know what it looks like

We have all experienced it

So what do you say we put this demon to rest?

Dreams

A dream is but a thought

Laid out like a movie

They're there for you to absorb

Like a mind smoothie

Dreams are a message

In a hidden format

We try to decode them

But that is a skill we lack
