Hi-Story

Walking back in time
Remembering all the time
You held my head so high
Though time had brought its ties

I longed you hold me tight
Although my hands were tight
I knew someday you'll come
And break free all the ties

No pain, no gain i thought
But love from you not bought
To bribe i tried but fault
It is 'cause you're God

I hid behind the smile
A bleeding heart i nursed
Tears that blurred my sight
The promise was a mess

How then would you come?
By fire,water,or better still
In form of angels
Just to blot me out of sin

Am changing day by day
Imperfect still in making
Hoping someday soon
My story changes stones

My history now a hi-story
You've raised the standard high
Not even the greatest man
Can stand to challenge what's done

Trusting you completely
Walking in your footsteps
Seat belt locked
I wait, safely home i get

Priceless

He crossed all boundaries, didn't
care about what they said, took on
all abuses and beatings just to show
the world that He loves me and he'd
give up everything to make me His
own. He didn't choose me because
am Pretty, talented,smart,rich
whatsoever.... He gave up
everything because he loves me
more than anything he had.

Someone else had won my
heart,given me all the beautiful
gifts,took me to the movies,dressed
me up like a queen, spoilt me with
every good thing,lets say,this other
guy was very rich in everything. He
even told me he loved me(note the
word loved) but when the guns
pointed towards me,He couldn't
give up His life for me.

Did I care that he was in love with
many others! Ofcourse not,He told
me, He loved me and that's all that
mattered. He'd done and told them
the exact same things He told me.
Its then that I discovered,he was a
liar,a thief,a rebel
,a conman,a selfish bastard.

He'd taken my childhood and I was
soon to be dumped as he moved
onto His next victim.
Even in the presence of many
witnesses he was not ashamed to
deny me,and when all guns pointed
at me,he just looked away, gave me
that sorry look and jumped through
the window. What a coward!

Christ found me broken,lonely,rich
but poor,a criminal waiting to be
convicted. Hopeless in every way. I
didn't believe someone would ever
love me passed my pain and
mistakes until He showed up.

One fateful night,my ex plotted to
kill Him because he'd chosen me.
He was told to give me up,so He
could live but he chose to die so I
could have life in its abundancy. I've
never seen a man so patient as this
one. You know how hard it is to kill
old habits! I sometimes find myself
back to that point but His grace! His
amazing Grace.......

The most amazing thing about this
love is He didn't just come for me
but for you too. He mended my
broken heart,restored and gave me
a fresh start, took me back to school
to learn how to live better and
productive through his amazing
words of Life. Even when I fail him
he remains Faithful and He
constantly reminds me that nothing
shall break the bond of love we
have.

He is calling you out of that abusive/
manipulative relationship into a
perfect relationship with Him. He
gave up everything because he loves
you. You're His Special one beloved,
you're loved by the most High. And
His name is Jesus. It doesn't matter
what your passed has been. His
arms are wide open to receive you.
Won't turn your eyes upon Him!

From Age To Age

A child in my father's home
years of stolen hope
wandering in my own dreams
tossing and turning
setting my past ablaze

Taught pretense, a discipline
Smile from ear to ear
Respect elders with fear
Power of death have they
Smart, yet foolish i grew.

Dare to speak your mind
Arrogant in their sight
Trash your dreams for theirs
Paint your heart with theirs
Live their life in yours

Need they lenses for clear vision?
"how it's been,will always be"
The enemy of the dreams to be.
Change of mindset starts within
Roots so grounded in the dream

Disowned for dreams that left no sleep.
Paved a way for all to chase their own.
Like Gandhi, we all have our dreams'
The difference is the will to Sacrifice
Our Comforts for the One we Love.

I Will Remember

I will Remember when i get there
A flashlight directed to this dark corner
Where all doors closed down on me
And the world had its teeth out,
It was all i could see.

My reasoning was more
But tall black walls with me folded to fit
God seemed so far away His words true
                                            i believed
Could i be wrong i searched
the answer came clear

You will remember
On that day surrounded by Love
You will remember
And see that it was all worth it

You will Remember
when my name is stamped on the
                         hearts of men
You will remember
that my word accomplishes that which
                         it was sent for

You will remember
that am your God,the Alpha and Omega
You will remember
That i love you,immeasurably

You will remember
That nothing is too hard for God
I will remember your Faithfulness
