Darkness To Light

Darkness to light

Lost a little touch
Took too much
Stepped outside of time
Fell to the ground

Transmuting darkness
Into light
Transmuting darkness
Into light

Stumbled into here
Without a care
To my surprise
The light reached my eyes

Crashed to earth
Out of the ashes a rebirth
From the dirt
Finding my worth

Transmuting darkness
Into light
Transmuting darkness
Into light

Lonely Man

Lonely man (lonesome heart blues)

I’m a lonely man
With a lonesome heart
Cause I’ve given it all away
I’ve given all my pieces away
I’ve got nothing left to give

When you find real love
Don’t walk away from it
Stand for honor fight for it

The entire world is filled with distractions
We get caught up in false pursuits
We go after what we desire
And take no prisoners
As we clear fields, confusing what we need

I’m a lonely man
With a lonesome heart
Cause I gave it to her one night
Gave away all my pieces in this lifetime
I’ve got nothing left to give……………… but love

Untitled

Untitled

What is the price of progress?
To silence awareness
To dilute the truth
I will not become a sheep
I will not stand for less than my worth

Men become tyrants
Brand us with their perverse reasoning
A crystal clarity is all I have
As defense against their attacks
We are bombarded
And the landscape changes endlessly
I am a sentinel for truth
Understanding awareness and love
Today is not just another day to look the other way

They have a master plan
To make us all submit
To their chip
I will be relentless
The reward I’m offered is priceless
All the goods and treasures
Are meaningless
I will walk on the hot coals
I will speak freely
I will not give in
Not even with my last dying breath…….

Dissipation

Dissipation

An echo
A ripple in the pond
A vibration
Of a distant time

Dissolving
Decaying
Delaying
Disintegrating

Trying to shield the erosion
As with all that is
And all that will be-
Only exists right now

Losing focus
Staring at everything at once
Slowing time
Giving in to the resolve

Fade to light
The long night
A quiet riot
Without delight

Daylight

Daylight

Midnight runner
Suicide gunner
Long shot winner
Lonesome sinner

Out on the side of chance
Lit up the sky during the big dance
Like a burned out survivor in a trance
Like a surreal movie where you only get a glance

Midnight runner
Suicide gunner
Long shot winner
Lonesome sinner

We all pay for what we do
You can blow it off until you’re through
Or face each day as its new
Seize it or watch it go by it’s up to you

Midnight runner
Suicide gunner
Long shot winner
Lonesome sinner

Nameless

Nameless

I have no identity
I have no ego
I have no use
I’m obsolete
I have no friends
No lovers
No direction
No answers
No wisdom
No knowledge
No foresight
I have no name
I have no shape
It doesn’t matter if I were here or not………

So back I go
Like the wind blowing by
A lost thought
A single cell undivided
Not even significant enough to cast a shadow
Transparent
No history
No picture
No image
No sound
No name………………..

Burning Teardrop Blues

Burning teardrop blues (blues song)

The teardrops burn
When they touch the soul
Fools will turn-
Away when time takes its toll

Mother is crying
We’ve all hurt her
We’ve all trampled on her
We’ve all forgotten her

We all look away for her
As if we never knew her
We’ve stumbled and lost her
Where would we be without her

Midnight moonlight mile
Torn by circumstance
Out of style
We can no longer
Turn the dial
Face the truth
In the glancing blow of denial

The sunrise is red with spite
Mother won’t give up without a fight
You used to challenge her with all your might
Now together we have to save her tonight

The Miners

The miners
Digging in the hole
Choking on stale air
Shoveling the rocks for fuel
Burning the midnight lamp
We’re all miners in the mine
Losing our minds
Searching for gold, coal and jewels
We end up with rocks….

We’re the dreamers
Lost in the dream
We’re the spectators
Lost in the sport
We’re the users
Looking to steal
The hopes and dreams,

We’re going underground
Surrounding ourselves with sleep
Succumbing to defeat
Waiting to push delete
We try but never make it back-
To our feet
Stumbling and lost
And hungry on the street
Into the mud that-
Turns to concrete…….
