Burning Teardrop Blues
Burning teardrop blues (blues song)
The teardrops burn
When they touch the soul
Fools will turn-
Away when time takes its toll
Mother is crying
We’ve all hurt her
We’ve all trampled on her
We’ve all forgotten her
We all look away for her
As if we never knew her
We’ve stumbled and lost her
Where would we be without her
Midnight moonlight mile
Torn by circumstance
Out of style
We can no longer
Turn the dial
Face the truth
In the glancing blow of denial
The sunrise is red with spite
Mother won’t give up without a fight
You used to challenge her with all your might
Now together we have to save her tonight
