Sadist

Sadist

we hung from trees, we were invincible, we even stole from bees.
we swam in the river, we laid in the sun, we ran and ran, till our hearts beat like a drum.
we ran like the wind, we were young.

we were so strong and then it all went wrong.
we grew up and life revealed its true self.
it’s sadistic and cruel and shows no mercy.

You took Your life, You died under Your weight.
i never would of imagined such a fate for such a strong and happy little child.

i’ll never forget You, You’re forever gone.
life really did so much wrong for a boy who never did any harm.

Your Love

Your Love

Who am I without love?

I am insecure, I am lonely.
I am restless, I am senseless.
I have no purpose, I am a body.
I am irresponsible, I am impulsive.
I don’t value much, not even myself.

Who am I with love?

Love unlocks me from an unbearable cocoon tranforming me to an object.
Love replaces a trained smile to an involuntary overflowing beam of
radiance from my soul.
Your love allows me to treasure time, every precious second.
Your love teaches me to value you, all of you.
Your shyness, your indecisiveness, your immovable strength, your fragility.

Your love teachers me to love.
How to love you. The ever changing you.
You are a mountain difficult to climb.
Yet your streams nourish me, your trees shade me.

You are locked in the chambers of my heart.
I will protect you and comfort you.
I will climb, I will forever climb.

Forever Longing

I never loved a sunset as much as I loved it with you.

Sitting here year after year wishing to see you.
We spent our summer holiday kissing under the stars,
Waiting for the sun to rise to take a brief moment apart.

I come here year after year hoping to see you again
My face with time faded with the rocks,
My eyes bear lines of sadness, my soul is dark with grief
If only I saw you again, I'll finally have some relief.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for a very long time
Hoping, one day, you'll finally be mine.
The universe, the stars and the sky brought you to meet me,
and I don’t know why.

Like a cruel twist, they've taken you away and let my memory grow stronger everyday.
Its been so long and I still smell your hair and your breath and see your skin shimmer and gleem like a golden sunset.
Your fingers entwined with mine, laced forever till the end of time.

And yet you're gone, you've been gone a long long time,
I'll never forget you, never pretend to, you belong to my soul
Without you, I'm just flesh and blood, not a man, not nearly as whole.

Hope

I am in darkness, deep deep darkness.
Darkness so deep it has no ending.
It fills me, holds me, chokes me.
Darkness so thick I cant breath.
It binds me,blinds me,dries me.
How deep is deep.
Ive climbed and sunk, walked this way and that.
It follows me, it robs me.
It encapsulates me, enslaves me, derails me.
Every crevice and orifice hosts this beast.
I used to remember the light, so bright, so white.
The darkness has snatched it, smashed it.
I used to have fight, could take flight.
But the darkness strangled me, damaged me.

I keep my last weapon from sight.
I have only Hope left. Hope to survive. Hope to stay alive.

Winter

dark and cold, wet and grey
these are the traits that you display.
wind, rain, hail and snow
you inhibit anything to grow.

miserable and dark, you love your art
on and on you”ll march
you”ll be hated, cursed and debated
and yet you”ll have your way.

when your time is up, your portfolio fulfilled
when you have to give way
you will be followed by lovely spring
all will be gay.

days will be filled with song and dance and summer nights seem endless.
harmonious sounds of birds and bees, even flowers seem to dance.
all will be good, we”ll jump with joy but how soon we”ll forget
that days from now you will return and only shadows will be left.

Life In Death

Life in Death

All hope is lost
Life and death, death and life, interchangeable.
I am terrified, afraid of the unknown. I am persuaded by pain.

Pain

I set the scene, don’t want a mess.
Pick out my favourite dress, a note, catch my breath.
All is calm, I know my fate. I am the master of the gate.
I slice, cut deep. Don’t pretend. There can be no debate.

Fear

Fear of the unknown, fear for my pain.
My life to this point beyond the sane.
Breath is shorter, vision is blur.
Beyond this point no cure.

Calm

I am slipping away, exit just as I came.
Quiet and calm, I close my eyes.
I smile at the irony, red is my favourite colour.
My life, lost love, leave my mind.

I am slipping, slipping, beyond return…
Finally I am gone

My Crystal Decanter

There is a longing in my soul, the emptiness created by the absence of my fathers role.
I have had the happiness any child could wish for, I have had the sadness no child should endure.
I imagined you my whole life, holding me, scolding me…
Putting your arms around my shoulder whilst we walked, tripping me from behind like some fathers do.
Sitting under the stars, stoking the fire, listening to your stories, talking about glories past...
I’ve searched my whole life for someone to fulfil your role, teachers, preachers, non can plug this hole.
Anyway your gone, I’ve never met you, you were taken in your prime.
All I got left is your decanter, we’ll always share the wine.

Cruelty Beyond

Cruelty beyond

I am saddened by the state of our lives.

Heads tilted against bus windows, faces wrinkled with fatigue.
Eyes so hollow, we practically half dead.

Our lives seem meaningless, exhausting, monotonous.
We work all day, spend only a few precious moments with loved ones, then sleep and repeat.

We do this year after year, we spend our childhood preparing to do this.
We do it till we die.

No garden of eden, clean rivers to calm our troubled souls.
No cups that runneth over.

If there was a plan for humanity, it ended. Didnt work.
We consume everything, destroy everything.

When all is gone, we will only have each other left to consume..
maybe that is the grand design.
