Scarlett Wafford Poem
unbidden dreams creep into my mind
I cannot seem to force them in line
flashes of heat, pulses of flame
storming my mind like summer rain.
sparks of lightning, slow it begins.
crash of thunder, then it transcends.
raging flow, no ebb or tide.
current swept, along for the ride.
I slowly awake in a tempestuous state,
only to find it was all in my mind.
