Wanting To Be Found

A tree by a river, a dock by its bay
A sunset so vivid, a picture to portray
Snow cascades a mountain
A deer and foe lay low
leaves crumble and fall as
the winds begin to blow

Sprinkles of rain creep silently down
while stars gaze over a sleepy little town
A night that’s too quiet for sudden sound
all seems shy in waiting,
wanting to be found…

Never Lose Hope

You stare out your window
A million miles away
wondering to yourself
where he is today....
that hes not gone for good
What you give to see him,
but only if you could

You say you can feel him with you
from time to time
Not himself in person, but his
spirit that comforts your mind

You wonder if these feelings are real
If the answers will come in time
Just believe they will and I'm sure
you will find...

The faith to never give up and
to never let go of your dreams
Even as hopeless as everything seems.

Never let go, I know you love him so
But just remember that one day
you may feel his presence even stronger
than before...
And much to your surprise
turn to find him at your door!

Never Lose Hope!

A Beautiful Song

Poetry is the flowing of music to my ear
Sweetest words that one can hear
It's ones visions and thoughts from deep within
put down onto paper with words and a pen

Poetry is the imagination that comes from the mind
Its a mother and childs love combined
 Poetry is so many things....
like shades of colors, or beautiful streams

Poetry is truth, joy, life, and death
The words come out like a final breath
Poetry is ones feelings, images of present and past
Defining poetry is an on going task...

It's rhythm, its rhyme, a melody or a chime
 Poetry goes on and on......
It's the beginning and the ending
 to a beautiful song

                           Poetry

The Roof

I have a secret place
 Where I always go
 A space upon the roof
where no one needs to know

 Until one lonely night
 A stranger entered my space
I thought my peace was over
but then I seen his face

A smile that captured my heart
and blue eyes that held me there
 My secret place is blown
The roof, we now both share..
                      Imagine that..

Hidden Heart

I kept my heart hidden, hidden in the dark
Away from a match In fear of a spark
Behind closed doors, It's safe to say that
I've found it much easier to live life that way

I've been hurt right down to the bone
and I find it less hurtful just being alone
Until somehow you crept in, my reason to live
 My new Best Friend..

I caught myself smiling the day I met you
It turned into happiness like I never knew
You found a door that led straight to my heart
And what better place is there to start...

 Then with you...

To Be

To be little again
where I'd once been
To be-little a friend
could one ever mend?
To be tall in height
tall to the sky
To be tall rather
than be little then stop
and wonder why
To all that is
to all that can be
To be blinded by all
all that you see
To whisper a whisper
that seems to shout back
To hear your heart break
while under attack
To breathe in life
yet forget to take it all in
To exhale your last breath
to lose a dear friend
To every solution
for every equation
relies on an answer
with simple persuasion
To want back once it's lost
No need to savor
then it's tossed
Every penny dropped
luck to someone who finds
To every precious moment you live
Treasure those times
For every waking hour
to the minute of every passing day
don't waste a second, not a second
for life to slip away.....

In My World

When I lay down to sleep at night
I enter a different place
Away from this world
into another time and space

In a dimension all of its own
A place where I never feel alone
I can travel anywhere I choose and see
anything I want to see
With no one to hold me back
In my world, I am free

I can go back in time and create
a different scene
and I am happy there
in my own dream
Where my life has been corrected
and complete.
Where I can conquer the enemy
to its own defeat

Where colors are bright
bold and some what unique
I am always at my strongest
no more am I weak

But when I awake I am here
where the world is never clear
and life itself I fear.
Then I have to wait before
I return again where my body and soul
where once at peace from within
In my own world, where I once had been

Did I

Did I ever once say...Thank you for being my friend?
Did I ever once tell you how much comfort you have been?
been to me all these years through, and that I have
took for granted the friend I have in you

Please hold no hard feelings toward me, even though
you have the right to do so, and if it's not too late there's
something I want you to know..and that is you never
know what you have until (as they say) it's gone!
To lose someone special after having them around
 for so long.

It's sad to find out in the hardest way to
live with regrets that they're not here today..
Not having someone to talk with, and one that you can
trust without a doubt one who knows you more than
anyone, inside and out, Your Buddy, your pal, your
best friend, the one you would say would be there till
 the end.

"Back me up." and I'll do the same. I let you down,
for that I have me to blame. So please forgive me for
not being there for you, it's just not the same with
out us two. We're a pair you and I, we're two of a
kind! and one such as you I will never again find..

                                      For my Dear Friend...

Days Before

My eyes fall heavy, heavy to the grey
The heaviness is over-bearing with more
 and more to weigh

Smoke so thick, filling up my lungs
A song hoped to hear remains unsung
 In the distance I struggle,
struggle on to see...see what lye's
 ahead waiting just for me..

 I pray for clearer skies
for the grey to turn to blue
for the weight to lift to less
to the life I once had knew

 To the days before...
 my world came crashing down
 when smiles I wore
 instead of this frown
 when colors existed
 highlighting the sky
when days where so much brighter
 before we said goodbye...
