Reflections

Who is it i wanna be? Who is it I wanna see?
Time to throw out all the pages I've burned
Time to take another turn
You saw the devil, you started to pray
To an invisible figure you're problems lay
Not the truth which you so hold now,but things to turn an unbent brown
You finally saw your reflection atlast
Now it's time to trim the past
Keep the good and remember the bad,the choices you made the problems you had
Make it clear, clean off the stains
Make your true reflection something you have to gain
You're the puritan of your love story
Love yourself,return to glory
Be the you,you wanna see
Be your reflection of the true me

She Sits Alone Contest

She sits to ponder, she sits to pray
She sits here almost every day
Alone in a vast space with no one to see her cry
She wishes someone come along and break the lonely tie
The disarray of her mind scattered on the ground
Some pieces lost never to be found
Alone she sits and Ponders this in the vast open space
Why must every time one leaves another takes its place
One thought trails away but not far behind is another
But she continues to sit alone missing the thought of each other
Someone to hold and someone to pry
Pry into her life but not make her cry
But until that day comes and she finds this dweller
She sits alone, seeming to the outside as an old Helen Keller
No word spoken no thoughts and nothing to see
It took awhile to realize that this girl that sits alone is me

Toserve and Protect

Is it ones fault to protect themselves from one of who was not invited in?
Is it ones fault to kill in the name of their rights?
To serve and protect so says she,
the nation speaks her words proud and lets them echo through out the earth.
Yet, when a piece of this gracious lady speaks up with these words,
she is neglected the right passage of them.
I swear above all to hear these words as they ring through out this court.
With courage and passion, I set my prescience.
I vow to defend.
I vow to fight.
For the justice of words that shall ring through the night.
To serve and to protect, words of power, words of the brave.
With me at your side and justice prevailing, you shall be set free.
For your so called "man slaughter" charge shall be revoked,
because I fight for justice, fight for your rights.
To serve and protect, especially the ones you love.
For that is justice itself, and can fight on its own.

A Part of You

I am the beat of your heart.
I am the pep in your step.
When you feel lonely and don't want to look around.
Just remember your heart beats on.
With every breath you take, I am the air in your lungs.
With every tear you cry, I am the moisture in your eyes.
When again you feel lonely and don't want to look around.
Just remember you breathe on.
If for some reason your heart beat stops and your lungs no longer hold air.
Just remember I am a part of you.

Survivor

Yes I am weird and some may say strange, but I call it UNIQUE.

I am proud of who I am and how far I have come.

Through every obstacle, I have survived.

I am a survivor and of all the things I have accomplished in my life, being a survivor of harsh times is what I am most proud of...

Life is one of the most difficult obstacles I have ever faced, but I know I can manage.

Why?

Because I am a survivor!

Hope In a Shell

An orb of light, dim but large, filling the vast twilight.
The silence screams the truth of all who have lied.
Meadow grass, black in the night, yet still soft as day,
surrounds my thought filled shell.
For I wonder, what is a body with no thoughts or emotion?
It is but a shell, empty and alone.
The cool breeze shifts the silence into an a ray of dancing leaves.
To show a shell it can be more than hollow.
It can be strong, it can be weak.
But a shell can be much more.
As the dim orb goes down and its sister starts to rise,
I fill my shell with what I had taken from that night..
Hope

First Date

Palms of antisipation, perspiring with the thought of humiliation
A brass filter placed upon thy lips
A few truths told but none ever slips
Her lips move with a sort of Grace
The cliche Candlelight glow upon her face
You can tell she's trying hard to remain inside
Being cautious from other lovers who have lied
he feels faint but he won't let her know in any way
In fear of anything this beauty might say
A first meeting, Second Glance, third smile of the date
Should I smile back, or is it too late?
The brow of angst is slowly lifted
Now the tone of the night has shifted
My Palms turn into waterfall of Desire
It's the first time, but this woman I admire

Be Yourself

Wiping off unused cerebrum from your cortex
Making conundrums seem poisonous and complex
Swerving the toxins that others lay
Searching for your God when you kneel to pray
Why don't you look in the mirror you'll see him standing there
Through the pupils of context, May the outside providers beware
For it's you who control the masses of your own Glory
It's you that writes it you're the god of your story.

Who Are You Online

I show a smile on a timeline.
Something I can't define.
My bird always sings a happy song.
But not for very long.
My filter plastered against my face.
Running along with humanity's race.
When's it gunna change,or am I just stuck in a booth.
We fake,we front but a greater power knows the truth.
As people we are lonley,as souls we crave acceptance.
And they say in the end focus on repentance.
with social media the way it is we crave the attention they feed us.
But no one stops to to question how they go and treat us. But not me,no way,I refuse to let it take control.
I say to you outloud I make my future roll.
I'm quirky,I'm kind...and no one can change me.
Not even every model you see on tv.
I got curves,I got brains...and no career choice can make me chose.
Even if I give up some and it seems like I may lose.
I'm fancy at times,I'm ragged as
but let me tell you it's not just my luck.
It's me,I'm unique and I'm gunna be true.
Something social media doesnt show to you.

My Proposal

This simple object means so much.
The simple body position that made me cry.
This simple smile made me know it was real.
The simple look in your eyes that took away all my fears.
This simple place showed me I am special.
The simple moment that changed into a life time.
This simple step to prove your love.
The simple question you asked me that will ring through my ears and all through my life forever and even past eternity.
This is my simple, yet powerful answer...
YES!
