Orchestra of the Sea

I stand on the beach in silence
Listening to the steady beat
Of the waves
Rolling and splashing
And covering my feet
Listen very closely
Can you hear that sound?
Of the music in the waters
Of the magic that I've found
The dolphins play the piano
The seahorses blow their horn
And with the salty spray as symbols
A symphony is born
Jellyfish strum the strings of guitar
Anemones play the oboe
And the delicate five-pointed starfish
Plays the piccolo
Use your imagination
Think way outside the box
Think of seaweed dancing wildly
Underneath the ocean rocks
I try to tell everybody
But no one can really see
The music in the waters
The orchestra of the sea

Mysterious Waters

Dark creatures lurking
Under the secretive waves
Concealing the truth

A Tree

I am a tree
Sitting contently
Atop this hill
Solitaire
Flourishing beautifully
In the springtime
Confident
Turning my foliage
Lush and green
Unbreakable
Until Autumn
When my leaves drift away
Parting
Surviving the cold winter
Bare and fragile
Delicate
And the cycle continues
Looking out over the world
Wise
Yet childish
Courageous
Yet weak
I am strong
I am a tree

Water

A chill runs through my spine
As the surface breaks
The world goes quiet
I am in a silent film
Watching the faces that appear above me
Watching the world go by
Until I run out of breath
I am safe here
    In the water

Beauty Like a Flower

Beauty like a flower
Though fluorescent in the light
Crawls away in darkness
From insecurity and fright
Forgiving and forgetting
An angel shining above
Beauty like a flower
Is love

Beauty like a siren
Draws the sailors in
Pulls them deep underwater
And covers them with sin
Beautiful yet tragic
A melancholy fate
Beauty like a siren
Is hate

Elements

Invisible yet powerful
The wind is, of course, the most respected
Of the elements
But what about water?
With multiple personalities
The seas rage
Then there is fire
Strong and beautiful and majestic
Topping them all- but remember the Earth
The foundation
The birthplace of all plant life on this planet
Maybe they're all important.
The Elements

Shadows

Sometimes I think I am only a shadow
Only following
Never leading
Only watching
Never seeing
And only pretending
Never being
Someday I will lead
I will see
I will be
I will breathe
But for now
I am only a shadow

Secrets

I have a secret
I keep my secret safe
For if I let my secret slip
My life would be unsafe
No one needs to know my secret
So I guess for now
I have to keep it
My secret

A Dream

I lay peacefully
Dreaming
But dreams
Turn to nightmares
I toss
I turn
Losing my grip on reality
I am alone
Where is the world?
My eyes open
I am relieved of the nightmare
Only to find
That the loneliness continued
I am alone
    All
      Alone
