Tell Me

Don't tell me my dreams are dependent on a twenty thousand dollar tuition fee. Don't tell me, you scored high in this and low in that, so this is what you can be. Don't tell me we are free, when I look around and all that I see are shells of broken dreams. Men throwing suits on their backs, punching in to power the machine.

Don't tell me that brothers and sisters of other nations hate me because of my freedom, when you cannot look in the mirror to face the true reason. Don't tell me that I am unpatriotic because I see the cost of capitalism. Don't tell me with hard work, YES I CAN, when you have your hands directly on the controls, raising the cost of livin.

Don't tell me you are protecting me, as you put filtered images on the TV, dictating what is that I can and can't see. Don't tell me that I am just naive, labeling me an unrealistic visionary then dodging these words by saying "He is just crazy!"

Don't tell me that this is the only way when to this day you spend more time and energy on weapons, instead of peaceful words to say. Don't tell me that everything is okay, while one man starves to his grave, he is passed by a man on a two week paid vacay who feasts every night at an all you can eat dinner buffet. Don't tell me that I am not a man when I don't subscribe to your, take everything you can in order to get ahead success plan.

Tell me that these tears, in my eyes and upon my cheek as I watch our resources deplete. Tell me that they make me weak, because I know that when the future looks so dark and so bleak, the world will be given back to the hands of the meek.

Slide of Hand

Democracy came,
Democracy left,
Marking the material meek for death,
The one to fallow pumping hot lead in their chest,
Offering hope,
Saying "we can be the best!"
Now they work with no rest,
Strings are pulled on a puppet press,
Subconsciously suppressing the wide eyed mass,
Work with no rest!
A slave generation all focused on how to dress,
The gunman in position,
No noise the shots suppress,
Survival available with a billion dollar vest,
Freedom was stressed,
Liberty regressed,
Blood in blood out the presidents new inaugural address.

River of Time

My mind winds through the fabric of time,
like the river carving over its ancient path.
Unconsciously flowing it always seams to travel back.

Do you remember that time so long ago?
Looking around I wonder, does the summer heat remember the snow?
One day everything seamed to melt away,
now a new way begins to grow.

Do you remember those ancient days,
in a distant land far away before a change wind began to blow?
sometimes my mind winds through the fabric of time and the old ways make themselves known.

Red Path Warrior

The path started concrete in the land of the dead,
Step by step it turned to the color of red,
Tired eyes gaze upon a river turned black,
Cries of the buffalo there is no going back.

Step by step towards an end unknown,
Mile by mile, back to the past, it has come and gone,
Machine respirators now line the earth,
Keeping alive the very thing they hurt.

Red path warrior keep the vision clear,
In beating heart keep love near,
Narrow the gates and narrow the road,
This red path will lead you to a place called home.

Battle Cry

Leaders tell us we are in danger,
Using our money to kill innocent strangers,
Corruption and greed have taken hold,
History repeats, this story has been foretold,
A desperate government wanting to survive,
Taking desperate measures trying to stay alive,
Tyrants blinded by their own ugly rage,
Learning the hard way, we will never be their slave,
The masses will gather with a message so clear,
Shock will hit them when they see no fear,
Bring on your tanks, guns, missiles, and planes,
We still will refuse to play cowardly war games,
Anger surfaces, their true colors will show,
Their fate will be sealed, that is no way to grow,
Tyrants can never win this battle,
Joy a wolf, they are the cattle,
Love will always conquer all,
Together we stand while we watch you fall,
In this way WE are free.

Walking East To Freedom

I had spent two years behind a desk,
Working for good money like the rest,
No rest for me in my king sized bed,
Happiness was always one step ahead,
My conscious pulled, my person split,
A tug of war, to stay or to quit?
Car gone nothing to drive,
But feeling free not deprived,
Trusting him signing my resignation,
Pack on my back, feet on top of a nation,
Heading east feeling so well,
Till the highway, i stood facing my hell,
Feelings of sorrow, dis pare, and shame,
Regret for leaving battling physical pain,
Nothing behind me the way i came,
I prayed for strength, that the trip not be in vein,
As i continued my pace quickened,
To His voice i began to listen,
Tears of joy as i reached the trail,
Feeling so strong, not weak or frail,
A day of rest and then i was on my way,
This time it seamed like a brighter day,
The truth He spoke, i began to find,
With food and shelter i felt satisfied,
Happiness came in a sleeping bag bed,
And a small tent in which to lay my head,
Free from my shackles and chains,
Walking with Him finding love truly reins,
Pure JOY in the simple things,
In This Way I Am Free
Thankyou Jesus

For Angels and Answered Prayers

A prayer was said an angel was sent, a young man was sick of a life vainly spent;

With her he could share the depths of his soul, she helped free his heart allowing love to grow;

He still stumbles but now he can see the light, unconditional her love has given him new sight;

She is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, far surpassing his most vivid of dreams;

He hopes and prays everyday, that by walking this path he will find his way;

For love his heart will strongly beat, hoping one day to sweep the angel off her feet.

The Art of Love

Truth can seam like; a lonely rain,
When it comes pouring out, initial pain,
But if kept inside it can turn the sane,
Brought out in the open acceptance can rein.

Trust can cause pain within the chest,
Doubtful thoughts; a consuming pest,
The mind starts to race, kept from rest,
But the heart knows it is for the best.

Love can seam like; a war on the soul,
Fear of losing or of letting go,
A longing feeling to force it to grow,
Ironic it is, for it cannot control.

Accepting truth is important not to miss,
It is a vessel allowing trust to exist,
Releasing true love into a passionate kiss,
Man and woman a divine gift.

Understanding

He asks for drink he asks for bread,
Some give love some turn their backs instead,
"Alcoholic" words of stone thrown towards his head,
"Those free from blame cast the first stone" a man once said,
Does it take faith to pass him by or to reach down and offer a hand?
We all get lost from time to time that is all that we need to understand.
Christ Love
In this way we are free.

Constant Peace

constantly thinking cannot turn it off,
constantly climbing cannot put it off,

constantly knowing that it may cost,
constantly hoping for hope is not lost,

constantly stuck outside the norm,
constantly kept outside your door,

constantly walking all alone,
constantly searching a place to call home,

constantly praying we all will see,
constantly dreaming of what some say "can never be",

constantly peace is nearing it is not far,
hope you are ready third rock from the star.
