are all the pieces of me

Angela Matthews Poem
It started in the past, yet it was the future, when it happened so long ago.
Three people came, stole my bed, and left the blankets and pillows.
Beyond the sun, in the twilight hue, the people danced with their shadows.
Within the distance, so very near, I sought the winds of blue.
Running from time, by chasing time, I fight to shatter the truth.
People were watching, as one was talking, so they all sung a simple tune.
The sun stands dancing, but not romancing, in the sea of the turquoise shoe;
and all the while, I stood and smiled, as though it were nothing new.........

Angela Matthews Poem
When you look, do you see?
See what? I only see me.
Don't look to mirrors, look to moons;
Why should I? It's not yet even noon.
Please tell me how you are filled with so much hate.
No time to explain, now hurry, before we are late.
Why do you speak with such indifference?
Anything else would have no significance.
Can you not talk of peace; of love?
Don't you know? I just killed the dove.
Certain for sure you are a stranger.
Your confusing me by feeling so familiar.
Can you tell me what it is I am seeing in you?
Why that's easy,
I am seeing you.

Angela Matthews Poem
Almost here.
Almost there
as I look at the shattered pieces of my broken family
almost seems to be always spoken within everything
I almost made it ,so close , almost made needed change.
Almost happy, my pulse quickens, deep within that feeling of fear
I almost made it
I almost stopped it, I almost lost it....
You thought your struggle almost stopped it
then you feel the familiar crash
I feel Almost numb; now I am almost back to where I started from
I almost believed in never again:
I have to laugh when I think, I almost thought I had found true love
I almost believed in everything
I thought that nothing could hurt me, never like that again.
I almost could not begin again.
