God Bless the Child

God Bless The Child
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 in “Death OF A Rose” By Nate Spears

God bless the child that see’s no evil
The child that digs within his soul
To survive unpleasing
With pain never easing; just teasing

God bless the child that clashes with the Titans
The child fighting for existence
Steady fighting relentless
Relentlessly,
Fighting the struggle
For what he believe is nothing
But he’s a child of god
So he’s blessed to be a front man

God bless the child that know not nothing
The child that comes to realize
That help’s not coming
Wondering the streets without a clue
Of what to do
Ignorance is all surrounding
Grief is all around them
Without any signs of peace

God bless the child that you conceive
Give them life
Give the strength
Let them find happiness in a world
Running thin on peace
May God bless
All his wonderful children.

Wild Flower

Wild Flower
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 In Death Of A Rose by Nate Spears

Rescue this sunflower
It's capable of being a ray of light
Nurture it, value it, and love it
Its petals are more delicate than they appear in sight

A wild flower it is; but it displays beauty
The facts of its species remain unknown
Its fight to reach its true potential is admired
It’ birth to existence is undetermined
 It’s roots shows trauma
Its presentation brings hesitates to potential caregivers
No one's prepared to take a chance
This flower is destined to win

All earthly roots sprout from above
At some point in a life’s span; we could use a kiss or hug
He who refuses to display any element of the wild
Is merely real
An artificial representation of life
Stuck in Styrofoam surrounded by fake moss and dust
No breath, no soul, non-existence
A human being choked from an outer dimension.
Rescue this wild flower with love.

A Woman's Worth

A Woman’s Worth
By Nate Spears

Her purpose in this world is hurting
She’s never been a designed of perfect
But she is a mom, so she’s super
She works
She cleans
Then roll up her sleeves ; and
Take care of the kids; and
The house
Making it a home
For a beautiful family to roam
Building wonderful memories
Becoming a woman of worth
Keeping her faith through Christ
Keeping her pace through health
Keeping her sanity through managing
This is a woman’s worth
I’m giving you

Despite of all the stress
She receives her family with open arms
Through all the mess
She’s a fantastic mom
A wonderful woman
Deserving a round of applause
Plus a standing ovation
For always being an American sensation
That held this continent down since day one
Since the Plymouth Rock landed on us
Thank you for her giving
Thank you for her living
Thank you for her children
This is ,
A woman’s worth.

A Mans Worth

A Man’s Worth
By Nate Spears

I’ve never been god’s gift to the world
But I am a man
A man with a gift
A man with a plan
A man of mistakes
But a man of honesty
A man with integrity
That’s the man inside of me.

For what you believe in; stand for
Be the heart of your family
The flaming torch
Be the hand that feeds
Be the hand that heals
Be the hand that nurtures
Be the hand that kills

Be the hand that serves
Be the hand that protects
Be one hand in your household
That demands respect; and is
Truly blessed
To have a beautiful family
Making you the whole of a man
Bringing a new meaning
To the soul of a man
With respect
With honor
With courage
Be a symbol of depth
Making mankind reflects its intent
On this earth
As is in heaven
Amen.

Dreams of Reality

Dreams Of Reality
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 in “Death OF A Rose” By Nate Spears

A difference of a world a way
A distance of a different kind
Love is blind and divine
Hold my hand
Let us touch the sunshine
On this hill of heaven we stand
I pray

From one another
Life and the world will never take us
Unless it’s together
Then we will become forever
Never leaving each others presence
Our bond becomes stronger in living
With every day
I stare into your glare
Wishing we live on; and long
Strong and healthy
We will grow old
In a happy union together
Looking beside me
Coming to a reality
You’re not there
My dreams are not reality
My love has perished.

22 Lines

22 Lines
By Nate Spears

I stand on top of the opinion of the mighty powers above
Staring into the eyes of their dominion
Keeping myself armed and fighting
In mind
In the order of a new world
In the order of new eyes
My spirit is old
In the order of new times
My heart lacks no fear
My hands lacks no wrong
So I have no tears
to let roll on

As The River Of Jordan splashes in red
My evil days shall past
Consistent with biblical teachings
I speak the truth consistent with loud speakers
Let freedom ring
While I’m running my fingers through the clouds
I've discovered a savior to save us
Now drip my sun light onto the best
Now drip my sun light onto the rest
Goodness shall fall from my fingers tips
Onto the pages
of my ink.

Coming From Where I'M From

Coming from where I’m from
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 in “Death OF A Rose” By Nate Spears

Coming from where I’m from
Every day is a battle to survive
War is in session
Right before our eyes

Each day we battle lessons
Just to be in the running for blessings
Coming from where I’m from
We move rapidly on missions

The dead is alive with every walk of the lifeless
Limited income withholds wealth
The living is near death
Spirits are stripped of guilt

Coming from where I’m from
Deprived wealth
Creates bad health
In occurrence to this
Good feelings are killed

The worst gets exposed
As times get worse
Financial situations become a disaster
No man on earth can rehearse

The world is broken
Hunger brings harm
Coming from where I’m from
Dictatorship is not fond

The environment brings the need to shoot
These activities loosens the roots
We’re grounded by values as thin as a pin
We lose ourselves at falling rates like bowling pens

No free passes
Prisons filled in masses
Separated by classes
Coming from where I’m from.

The Morning Star

The Morning Star
By Nate Spears

There’s clarity in the depths on my deepest thought
I’m never blind to a world of darkness
I’m challenged by whatever in time
Defeated by my ambition in others

Close to my last day
But far from my last night
And I’m light years away
From my very last fight

The actions of the man
Creates the path of his life
The absence of the man
Restrains his rights
The mentality of a man
Saves the day he's granted
The intent of the man
Leads him the way the earth has planned it

So feel my rose as it fades
Feel my pedals bring a new days
As I sprout beyond the stars
To a galaxy that stands out
The route brings the creation to light
After the day
After the night
After the darkness
After my arrival
The morning is tainted
The day is seen in a human’s eye
Sight has been sinful before and after
You and I
This is the heart filled reason
For the birth Christ.

F Bomb

“F Bomb”
By Nate Spears

I got the heart of a man name Malcolm
The visions of Martin Luther
The tongue of Emmett Till
The brains of Medgar Evers

Can I get a window seat
Away from defeat
Can I get park for the kids to play
Next to the spot
Where Rosa refused her seat

Langston in my pen
Proud, young, and free
Handsome and intelligent
The government targets me
First,
In a second
My history is a blessing
The court system in racist
Society shows the traces.

True Valentine

True Valentine
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 in “Death OF A Rose” By Nate Spears

A lost woman the mirror reflects
Young; and it’s apparent
I can see it in her eyes
No focus and childbearing
Just ass, legs, and thighs in mind
No marriage

If she knew better
Learned better; and
Wanted better,
He would show her a better way of living
Instead of dealing with cowards
Seek a man with moral and merit
He’s stealing your joy
He’s bringing you pain
Removing your youth
He’s playing games

The truth at heart is
Reality should be your first thought
Loneliness is not your fault
It’s a part of life for most
Don’t let it destroy your values
Just wait,
You’ll find a true love to treasure you.
