Heart

Don't explode yet
Let yourself bleed
Don't close your door yet
The pain can cure anyhow
The cure to your wound
Is the thing that broke you
Close your door only to her.

Morning Dew

having drank its fill
it bade goodbye to the leaf
then fell to its grave

After the Rain

after the rain left
I saw its back fading north
as cold wind follows

Fallen Leaf

a fallen leaf clogs
frenzied flowing in the spout
willingly collapsed

L O N E R

I am lonely.

It's not an obsession,
or an art,
or a choice.

I am just lonely,

by default.

What Love Is Not

Love is not the absence of hate
It is the hand that weakens its grip
Even if the heart tells the soul:
"In its spell the wicked clothe themselves
with the brilliance of the pure,
So you must not trust love after all."

Love is not the end to a sadness
It is the scar that confesses its guilt before the mirror,
Even if the eyes refused to see
The truth that present itself so implacably
It absorbs the light and the darkness,
Unforgivably. (It recognizes its own monstrosity).

The Rescue

(So sorry for the hearts I have broken
for the dreams that never came true...)

I wanted this madness to end
I have to stop this hurting spree:

1. I locked the door,
2. unlocked my gun,
3. cocked slowly, silently that no one will hear
4. and went naked (so they won't have to undress me anymore).

My uniform is neatly pressed lying in bed
with the shining badge and the laminated name plate ready.

5. Took the last breath,
6. closed my eyes,
7. then prepared for the fall (the devils inside me
rejoiced with blood and misery - as I put my finger
in the trigger).

Then a frail knock came (it was the loudest I ever heard)
the sound came less than three feet from the floor
outside the unpainted door panel
as though it was knocking in my heart.

A tiny voice called "Daddy?....Can I come inside?.."
in my mind : "Baby? Can I come inside?.."
So I let him in (and the sunlight came with him)
He asked why I am naked,
that it was cold I might get sick
He said he was hungry and cried because his playmates had left him.

I cried because I could not be completed
(We cried for a moment).
He wiped the falling debris lining in my face as he wiped his tears away,
he picked my clothes scattered in the floor
I hid my gun under my pillow in safety.

I wore what he gave me
I did what he asked of me (I went to the kitchen half-naked)
I could see he was sleepy so I went to lay him in the cradle,
he had his feed in his hands,
I have my pain reliever beside me---
as I am holding this little boy in my arms
(My angel came to rescue me and that was enough,
for the moment).

Then we both fell asleep.

The Firefly

her eyes caught its light
firefly- in the curtain, trapped
the wind freed them both

Fleeting

(What's on your mind?) Do I have to tell you?

I was thinking about this dream
I was holding it for a while but it visited me only
When I'm drifting off to sleep
But then I heard a shot being fired somewhere
It almost was a sound that can easily die without
Being given its proper name---
It was not a shot but instead a spark plug failing.

So here I am wide awake
But first I need to trace that dream
I have to walk again the path from the kitchen to my room
Where I accidentally hit a part of it
Like how I kicked a loose bolt with my baby toe
The surprise that I found has sparked something
Inside the caverns in my head.

I need to chase my dream so it may live
I am the only one who can protect its fragile light
If I may burn the palm of my hands
If I should strike the match over and over again
To keep it burning - my dream
I am the only one who knows if it's going to see the next daylight.

(I will save some of my time to finish the book)
I will begin the walk so I can gain some insight along the way
When I turn back to check the distance that I traveled
May I don't miss the stagnant contentment and angst I left behind
I will move forward and pray for the rain
The heat of my own passion scorched the soil where my feet steps.

I never have to see myself in the mirror again and wonder
How the strangers I met and those that lived beside
See me
I only have to imagine my smiling face 12 years ago
Then with a hand in an empty pocket I will go on with my journey
One day I will turn it inside out and see
The rainbow of the unwrapped candies it once carry.

For the Fire

For The Fire

My life as a piece of driftwood.
Passing through rivers and streams
swimming into the ocean of hopes
and dreams.

Until a saving hand introduced a warmth
I was dried and soaked under the sun
I almost forgot the days and night
of my aimless run.

Like a dead I too had gone
to the depths of my imagined grave
but the turn of tides brought me ashore
I always ask the heavens that I might reach it.

I was hanged,
I was heated,
I was consumed,
I slowly cried.

To be a part of something I had never been
to be a part of a whole
under a Master's Scheme.
Just to be a part of you and perish.
