A Heart's Lovefeast

Without the maladies or worries of a forgotten wife

To grow neither tired or weary of this life

Lain with love upon mountainous peaks

The master accounts for my every heart's beat

A feast at the table of mercy and grace

I am endowed with heaven's desired taste

The eyes are teary from every magnificent sight

Feasting upon salvation's tender morsels, every delicious bite

Filled completely from head to toe

The soul alighted by loves special glow

Even the embers of love burn deep into the night

For I am forever within the master's sight

Where time has no appeal for this great love

Loving You

I am loving you whilest i am away from you

The burning embers of love still burning true

Though time has healed the aches of sadness

Somehow my heart retain's it's gladness

To remember the days of once upon

When you were babe, and I was hon

Who can say what will linger on

Long after the moments are gone

It's not an urgency of need

That requires my heart to concede

Love knows no timeframe or space

It is just sweet to the taste.

Steps of Redemption

I got busy living, tasting what was once a dream
Filling in the blanks that left holes in my seam
Visiting the courage given for this day
God already knew I had to come this way
All the things that kept me out of sight and mind
Were just the illusions of a satanic design
Disguised as ugly thoughts, monsters in the dark
Robbing me of everything even my joyous spark
I am forged with love, mercy and the living word
To be my sheild in combat against all i heard
Mighty weapons formed to keep safe the elect
Stand on bloody battlegrounds unable to connect
Lost in the reflections of right and wrong
Some to bring about complacency's abstract song
With little battles brewing into full scale wars
And what should be aboutlove becoming mindless chores
The ache being greater than the stench of fear
Even if but for that moment I was here
I must claim the joyousness of that.
