Family Is Forever

Life right now may not be the best
and every morning I may wake up with a frown
sometimes I want it all to stop and be put to rest
then I begin to think of family
family that has always been there for me
sometimes I want them to leave me be
and forget all the memories
good or bad
happy or sad
but to forget would mean being alone
then there would be no reason to go on
family is keeping me here
this life were all living is temporary
one day there will be no more tears
we would wake up with no worries or fears
I would go to sleep with no troubles to carry
into my sanctuary of dreams
and remember to stay a believer
troubles are temporary
family is forever

Forever

Love me forever
through arguments
through pain
through poverty
through money
through it all
Love me forever

Daddy Was a Good Man

Daddy was a good man
staying home for a few months
then leaving and disappearing
going out to make money
taking poor lil sis with him
Daddy was a good man
playing mama's feelings
using her stuff to his advantage
leaving her one deep
to raise four kids
Daddy was a good man
I never remember a birthday
with him there
holidays were rare enough
school recitals was a waste of breathe
Daddy was a good man
he made me who I am today
determined to be a good parent
and the best I could significant other
to be somebody
Daddy was a good man
he showed me all the wrong ways

Deprived Pride

Pride
of this i wont be deprived
I know this is going to break me
but just let me be
no better then the next person
that im sitting here judging
she only 15
and yeah she got a son
but here i sit
throwin' a rebellious fit
tryin' to hurt everyone around me
but little do I know
I did this on my own
but you see
I got this thing called Pride
and of this im refuisng to be deprived

My Destiny

My destiny
I wish to fullfill
Starts with me
Im just trying to be real
Im meant to lead
Be there for those in need
Be the shoulder to cry on
Be there at the crack of dawn
Help those who feel life is done
Be the trusted one
My destiny
is to be the best I could be
for those around me

On Her Own

She sits and cries
18 Years old
Fear of being out and on her own
Helpless and weak
Those words cut deep
Never taught the ways of life
Jumped from house to house
Not one person said
This is how you do it
Little did she know
That the only way for her to learn
Was to get out there
And actually be on her own

Virgin Heart

To some
my age shows maturity
experienced
my heart is still one of a virgin
confused by whats real and whats not
wondering if this guy or that guy is the one
giving them a piece of me everytime
hoping and wondering if theyll stay
or how my life would turn out with them
falling in love with the idea
but not the man himself
im a virgin to the game of love

My Mountain

My mountain is tall
cant even see the top
I climb and climb
sometimes I slip and fall
or hit rock bottom
but I keep going
never stopping
every now and then
I get company
they never stick around
but the times we have
are never to be forgotten
wether they helped me climb higher
take a step back
or stopped me from climbing at all
one day I'll be able to see the top
Ill stand on my mountain
and yell so that every soul
living or dead
can hear me yell the words
I Made It!!!

Forgive

You sent your son to die.
He washed away our sins.
So now you can forgive.
So why can't I?

Wrongful Vibe

Never thinking about my actions
Not caring about what others think
shrug my shoulders being my first reaction
others say my attitude stinks
of course i dont care
I owe no one nothing
I have not a smile to share
but I can tell you something
a small secret
you must promise not to tell
in your mind you should always keep it
Somewhere in life i stumbled and fell
then my vibe came off all wrong
cause i really do care
even though i always feel like i never belong
in my heart there is a little tear
 just needs a little tape
someone to show me love
not a soul around me that is fake
the best person being the man above.....
