Give Me a Break I Am Pms Ing

I may slap you, curse you, smack you
Don’t get too serious honey, its monthly fun
I am PMS ing and my trauma is true
Be my gentleman and Pass My Shotgun

I may hate your friends and knock them down
Be any handsome man or cute chick
Don’t get them here when I am around
I am PMS ing, People Make me Sick

I may laugh out loud at your silly jokes
And the very next moment won’t find them funny
That catastrophic emotional trauma pokes
I am PMS ing, its Psychotic Mood Shift honey

Every month, within me I sense this ruinous storm
It’s not me honey, this phantom is Premenstrual Syndrome

Warmth of Breeze

Imagine me as a book covered with dust,
A soul whose warmth for years remained untouched

Letters on every page were ill-defined, unclear
The essence was hidden in an ambiguous fear

Uninterested I was in the societal rigmarole,
Me and my outer self were at opposite poles

Quite hesitant I was to turn to the next page
As I knew it would amount only to stormy rage
Quite concerned I was for my future pages and me,
The so-called bright world appeared shadowy

And in this dusky weather, suddenly the air felt unusual
This didn’t happen in years, the matter truly seemed crucial

I bizarrely felt the warmth of cool welcoming zephyr
My pages drifted, smiled and glinted like a pearl

My dull existence got transfigured into a life full-of-beans
Personified I was into a woman of worth, a woman of means

And now after owning this bag full of happiness,
I started reading the letters carved on me,

This time they were decipherable and defined,
They managed to unite me, my heart and my mind.

I looked around, in quest of the soul who revived me
Who passed by me and set my tangled soul free

Seeing him was out of question, quite hazy he appeared to me,
I could only fantasize him as a cozy breeze over the sea

Now, this breeze could be felt only when you are around me
You… only you and nothing beyond
You… the only one to make my passion profound
You… in your absence too you could be felt around
You … the only one in whom I am found!

A Contraceptive Pill

Afore falling in his arms they advice to think twice
Unregretful I act beyond my surprise
It’s the grip of a force, a force here to claim
Compelling, like a moth drawn to the flame

Every night encloses the heat of flaming souls
But sun kissed morning plays a wicked role
To my realization it brings an obvious question
What next to prevent conception?

Like always, I pop in a pill to save the bill
My guy admires the worth of a contraceptive pill
It causes side-effects. Ah! How would he know?
He enjoys the freedom of reckless show

Nevertheless, I look at kids and admire their innocence
Wish the pill could kill within me my maternal pretence!

Zoo - Just To Amuse You

One fine day, I planned a visit to zoo
Alone landed amidst the fauna left so few
Treaded merrily on greenery, singing my heart out
Whilst a lion’s scary roar made me shout

‘Ah! Another visitor’, said the lion annoyingly
‘Why should we entertain you?’ said he fumingly
‘What’s the point in wasting your energy and mine?
Making us do the funny acts, do they seem so divine?’

Hearing those words I dared
Reduced the distance, still scared
Said I, ‘Stop fuming King of Jungle, watch out for your age,
Hadn’t I come to visit you, wouldn’t you be bored in your cage?’

‘The answer dwells in your question, silly girl
You humans have no heart of pearls,
The so-called king of jungle imprisoned in cage
Heartthrob of millions I was, at my early age’

‘To meet my family, hope it doesn’t get too late
I need to eagerly meet ‘em all, my cubs, my mate
I still feel them, they are waiting for me
Oh girl! Be kind enough to set me free.’

I couldn’t have done that with all my might
Turned my way, delighted by a peacock’s sight
The multihued beauty was sheltered in a metallic cage
Awe! Gloomy this beauty looked, in distress and rage

‘What is wrong? Do you want to fly?’
It turned around and looked straight at the sky
‘Show me those vibrant feathers, the fan-like crest
Guests would adore seeing you dance at your best’

‘I dance just for my love, my love for rain,
Cool breeze no more likes crossing my lane
Why do I open my feathers without my mate’s presence?
Just to amuse you, I shall do; confined in this fence’

Dumbstruck, I decided to turn my way
Walked ahead in quest of animals happy and gay
There it was! A crazy monkey, flirting and making its choice
Mimicking others and playing around, hear its evil noise

Bouncing, bouncing and dancing, dancing
It ruled as if dungeon’s dominant king
Wow! You look so happy; what’s the reason?
‘Girl! No more fun for you, ‘coz free I’ll be from this prison’.

Two giant men came forward and opened the door
Good Lord! It’ll be free, unkind humans is just animal’s lore!
Monkey screeched, ‘Meet me soon in the nearby forest
Where I meet my pals, play, eat, have fun and rest’

Happy to see the monkey’s joy, I walked ahead
Across the bushes, saw a van, a huge van in red
Giant men carried animals and dumped in the van
Shocked I was to see the sight and reckoned their plan

Why was my monkey friend inside, for what purpose?
It was clear as I read the van’s name, ‘The Great Royal Circus!’

Vampire

Below dark sullen sky
Motion ceases, air freezes
Vampire roars, dripping blood fang looms!

A Dark Fantasy

I’m on a planet with a golden kiss
It shimmers with glory, such bliss!

As I zoom in, it turns into a dark land
Peep in, I’m afraid, I cannot stand!

In darkness, I see a bright glowing tower
Inside, a plethora of so called ‘man’ power

Zoom in; I see ‘beast’ kind disguised as ‘man’ kind
Alas! Not a single kind beast could I find

I hear roars of uncivilized beings
And moans of so-called weaklings

I see a trail of emotional turmoil
Those 7 deadly sins wrapped in a dazzling foil

Gifted to humanity, his power, his grey matter
It separates humans from animals and allows us to shatter

The once created planet with a golden kiss
Will it ever show the signs of holy bliss?

In the Eyes of the Beholder

For he/she who knows, has seen,
Beyond the vision of faux beams
Radiant, candid as the beauty keen
In the eyes of beholder's dreams

‘Beauty' conceived physical
Shows signs of mortality
Inner beauty seems biblical
Survives the soul of eternity

For the mother's exposed breasts
To feed her breast-feeding child
For when Blessed Teresa smiled at the rest
Thousand restless hearts she beguiled

For when an ugly charmed a charmer
Love beheld the eyes of heart
Hath the beast not turned warmer
Lore of beauty and the beast would fall apart

For the perceptions differ
Of thee and me
I may defy, thou may prefer
The essence of beauty

Honest Tears

Tears flowing from your profound eyes
They unwrap the truth, where are the lies?
I believe them, I adore them,
I have faith in them,
These honest tears will indeed turn into honest smiles

That’s your heart, and this is mine
Interspersed they are in love so divine
Complicated they are, difficult to decipher
Songs of strident past are often played by the piper

Strident past… in itself is an incomplete whole
Past passes and leaves behind crestfallen souls
It cannot be thrown away, just cannot be buried
Coz to what we our… only our past leads

But a little ahead from the past,
I could so sense the cupid’s attack
Hurting me with the pain of love
A feeling which almost nowhere lacks

I so want this feeling to dwell in us,
I so want to love u with complete trust
Apart from the twinge felt in my heart,
I still know, I can be in your arms
Close my eyes, and see the bright world,
Where our love, our passion, our souls unfold

Rope-Tied Together

I fantasized you holding me...
Your eyes closed, feeling my skin
And suddenly we are rope tied together
Making two different souls twin

Not an ordinary rope this seems
Its unbreakable, its tough
Its sheen is rich and polished
Though edges thorny and rough

I don't mind the roughness
Lest you dare to untie the knot
I won't let you step out because
Sleepless nights I have fought

My skin has longed for long
To sense the heat of your touch
Goosebumps would rise all over me
As I arrest you in my clutch

Warmth of breath, beats of hearts
Would suffice to keep you safe
Darling! this time we are rope tied
You have no escape!

My First Cig Puff

Holding that slender stick in between two fingers
Stance of an emperor of a classy empire
The curvy wavy smoke in air lingers
One cig in hand smartens your attire

I remember my first cig puff,
How I held its butt between my lips
An air of curiosity traveled down my core
As a friend lighted for me its tip

The lit cigarette brightened my ecstasy
And with pride I took my first puff
Smoke dint seem finding space inside
And I burst out, it made me cough

That challenged me to attempt once again
This time I felt my smoke-filled chest
I was gagged, hooked for a moment
It was kind of a head rush… at its best!

That whiff of smoke changed everything
Nothing seemed at its best without one puff
Did it taste that good? Hell No!
Then why doesn't puff after puff seem enough?

Soon my hands, mouth, clothes smelled the same
Seasons didn't matter, time did no harm
Every time I rushed to a clandestine zone
The moment I received ‘quench the flame’ alarm!

I am not bad, don’t hate me
It’s a compelling force, I can’t shun away
This addiction should only not invite my grave
Be my honest well-wisher, for me pray!
