No Simple Life

Life is simple but not for me
It's just not easy doing ABC
People think that I'm lazy
I just thought I was going crazy
It's hard to do my work I find
Because It's always on my mind
Reading, writing and arithmetic
Do I reeally have to do it?
Not being able to read write or spell
Living in this bubble of hell
I try to escape from thoughts and strife
No one knows my secret life
Or the struggle that I face each day
Dyslexia is real and it won't go away..

Christmas Day

Candles, chocolates and a bottle of chardonnay
Heralding the eve of Christmas day
Rollicking good fun is in the air
Icy outside but who gives a care
Surprises all gaily wrapped
To a song that someone's just rapped
Mistletoe hangs in the hall
And the clock ticks slowly on the wall
Santa Clause is coming to call

Dancing lights on the tree
A time of merriment for you and me
Young ones singing merrily.

Sexy At Sixty

I was fit and feisty at fifty
It was no big deal
Because that's how half a century
Is supposed to feel.

In my sixties I'll take stock
Start making great plans
Ignoring all the 'you cant's'
And embracing all the 'I cans'.

Can I be sexy at sixty?
and try all the fashions and fads
Wear stockings and suspenders
And Joan Collins shoulder pads.

I can deal with sexy at sixty
And wear Vivienne Westwood clothes
Dress up and go out on the town
Wearing all my buttons and bows.

I'm going to be sexy at sixty
I'll wear Gok Wan lingerie
Find myself a toyboy
Then maybe lead him astray.

Swift and sexy at sixty
When I get my Jimmy Choos
Dancing the night away
To the sound of Rhythm and Blues.

Oh! I want to be sexy at sixty
'cause age is a state of mind
I'm preparing my body at keep fit
So as not to be left behind.

But first, I have to deal with
Old skin, Bad teeth and Grey hair
Then remove the unwanted growths
From just about everywhere.

Then I'll definitely be sexy at sixty
And undoubtedly done it all
The only problem is that
Most of it I simply won't recall..

Tiny Seed of Love :- Loop Poem

With tender hand It was PLANTED
PLANTED from the the seed that FELL
FELL from the end of one LIFE
LIFE that will start again.

The tiny seed of love was SOWN
SOWN with tender loving CARE
CARE for, nurtureand watch it GROW
GROW into a strong healthy bloom.

A bloom of colourful PETALS
PETALS that will wilt and FALL
FALL to just a few MEMORIES
MEMORIES fade, as Autumn calls.

Halloween Eve

The moon was lost behind a cloud
When something Weird went by
I tried to see what went round
But it flew so fast and high.

I don't believe that witches fly
Riding so high in the sky

But that is what I saw
Riding on broomsticks made of straw.

The stars were gone, the night was dark
When something else took place
Standing there in the park
There was a gruesome face.

A skeleton with corpse like face
I don't believe in the zombie race

But that is what I saw
Well I stood and looked in awe.

Under the moons eerie light
With fangs dripping red
Another creature of the night
With one bite you are bled.

I don't believe in vampires
When your life expires

But that is what I saw
When the moon was low.

All too soon, the mellow moon
Lights an empty late night street
Children dreaming in the bedroom
Of next years trick or treat.

Moon Trip

A parade of grey suited aliens
Climbing aboard the spaceship
Buckle up real tight
Here comes the countdown
For the moon landing trip.

The Grass Is Always Greener

Today I saw the sun shine through
And smiling happy faces
Moving on and never looking back
Takes you to wonderful places.

They say the grass is greener
On the other side of life
But we should enjoy what's on offer
Free from trouble and strife.

We found a comforting road there
But now it seems to have gone
Better to stay on your own side
It doesn't matter which one.

Being human we are never satisfied
We'll always aspire for something new
The world could be a better place
But then again, “Not always true”.

When I Let Go

A guiding light to illuminate the way
I'll follow that light to seal my fate
The spirit of me to reawaken.

Yesterday I let go of what I am today
I hold the key to unlock the gate
To change the path I have taken.

Today I accomplish what I set out to do
With ambition I set out the program
There's always a choice you see.

Tomorrow I set out on paths anew
When I let go of what I am
And become what Imight be.

Dance Lightly

I'm not as beautiful as a rainbow
I am the morning dew
Dancing on the tip of a leaf
Transient in the light of day.
Life is inviting me to dance
On the edge of time
To the music of love.
So come along for the dance
On the edges of time
I invite you to dance lightly
With me, to the music of love
Where the world is made of
Faith, trust and pixie dust
Like the dew on the tip of a leaf..
