I'Ll Never Say

There are some things I'll never say
For if I were to say them, I might have to pay
So many thoughts reoccur in my head
Of all the things that we have said
You're proud of me now
But your not around
My memories start to fade
Your ultimate debt was paid
I miss you, why couldn't you stay
I feel like you're so far away
I know one day I'll see you soon
When all the keys to life are in tune
I can't wait for the day
When I'll tell you all the things I could never say

My Angel

On earth you were my guardian angel
Look down on me from time to time
You're the best Great Grandfather
And I'm proud to call you mine
Please, please don't go
I want you to stay here
But God wants you too
Enjoy Heaven's peers
Ask the prophets lots of questions for me
But remember those you love you on earth
Pledge to praise the Lord for all eternity
The way i pledged to love you from the moment of my birth
I'm so proud of you
All your country singing legends will live on
I'm going to miss you so much
Your laugh and smile I will dwell upon
Have I Told You Lately That I Love You
Those memories I will forever cherish
I'm a better person because of you
What you taught me will never perish
One day I'll see you again
In a place we both call home
I'll be a witness to the entire world
Of the care and love you have shown

Escape

I'm afraid of the dark
Don't shut me in
I'm scared and alone
Deep within
You said I could trust you
But all I got was betrayal
This pain is making my heart fail
I don't want you to go
But I don't want you to stay
All I want is to fly away
Fly to a place where there is light
I need to get out and escape this fight
Take me on a cloud make of fleece
Where I can finally rest in full fledged peace

I'M Going To Be Me

I hate being what you want me to be
I want to do things my way
In the simplest terms, I want to be me
I'm not a model or famous star
I'll never be either of those by far
I'm happy being what I am
The dorky girl who loves to jam
You can't make me change
I know people think I'm weird, maybe even strange
Why do what people expect?
Then your own identity you've worked to build is wrecked
It's pointless trying to be something you're not
Because sooner or later you always get caught
I'll always remain true to myself
And put that old disguise back on it's shelf
I'll never be what you want me to be
Who I am is my choice
And I'm going to be me!
