Tomorrow Never Comes

Time flies as the day goes by
But what goes around must surely come back around
There’s always yesterday, today and tomorrow
But tomorrow never comes.

Our debtors plead for tomorrow,
Our parents hope for tomorrow,
Our dreams rely on tomorrow,
But tomorrow never comes.

Children are the leaders of tomorrow,
A slogan that seem endless,
A day we always await,
But tomorrow never comes.

If today becomes yesterday,
And the future is tomorrow.
Where is the future?
‘Cos tomorrow never comes.

Brown Sugar

Looking back at all the years
I thought I found true love
‘Twas jus a play on my emotions and tears,
Deep seated feeling of pain I can’t remove
For the sake of the love I thought I had
And the desire of every growing lad.

You touched my Heart in so many ways
To be sure an everlasting smile stays
Because you know how much it pays.
Can’t imagine the two of us apart
As you made me see a bright new start
Like a short from a sudden dart.

We shared the laughter and the pain
‘Cos we know we’ll surely go on
You’re like the only one I’ve ever known,
The Best friend I’ve ever had
But as time is our friend,
Our love will know no end.

I love the moment,
Moments we shared together.
I love the feeling,
Feelings of true love and care.
Thought I was dreaming
But it’s real.

Wish these moments will never leave my side
Knowing that true love is hard to find
Whatever it takes I will fight.
And though I travel far and wide,
You’re always on my mind
Both day and night.

A Walk To Remeber

Life is like a candlestick of colours-
Light and dark as the times that follow us
Envy and pretence in an evil heart
That chokes as the sight of a blissful start.

It’s a journey full of misery and myth
When the dearest and closest are confronted with death
But with an ever-flowing tear from a broken heart,
Memories of them can never depart.

Some people leave traces in our lives
That though they are gone, they are alive.
There’s always hope when there is tomorrow
Like a legacy bound to follow.

Though times would pass and run like flash
Memories will always remain green and fresh
Knowing that what is meant to be will be
Even in death or life’s flee.

Life is a dream of reality
Which gives everyone the ability
To achieve the desired success
From a journey filled with greatness.

Though we pray for times as better
But those moments will last forever.
And after this life with a sure destiny,
We will live a life of eternity.

It Is Finished

It was the last words of our Lord Jesus Christ
The last we ever heard from you.
Words of courage, faith and strength
The courage we’re yet to find.
It was indeed a walk to remember
Though we never saw it coming
Now we’re faced with doing it on our own
A task we must accomplish.
“Our year of Better things”
The year that took one from us.
But your work here is indeed done.
Your work on earth is finished.

Letter To Valerie

I’ve been to many places
Seen so many faces
All in less than just a million paces.
I found you when I was young
Knowing you, made me strong.
You were the beginning of my fantasies,
The picture of my future, dream and true smile.
Was it really you?
The creamy, silky, hazel-eyed beauty.
Your charming smiles and steady walk makes my heart talk.
How far apart can we be?
‘Cos I can’t stop thinking.
Was it really you?
The one that cries when I’m blue.
You pick me up when I fall and shade me from the sun.
Can’t wait to call you mine, can’t wait to walk down the isle-
With you and only you- my Valentine.
Was it really you?
‘Cos I can’t stop searching till I find.
Was it really you?
‘Cos our love is written in the stars.
Will it be you, my Valerie?

My August

Suddenly, time takes me back
back to where I was found
breaks, summertime and fun
a time of plenty and green.
A time when smiles were like true beauty
and unity was inseparable.

Like flash it all vanished away
not even a pause of awareness
I was left weak and helpless behind,
like a footprint on the seashore.
Reflections clouded my thoughts-
How far ahead is this walk alone?

But it’s all coming back
with moments of bliss all around
Chris is definitely part of it,
my August is here again.
Maybe my thanks and prayers have arrived,
It’s my time to shine again.

And as only time could tell
all that happened was for good,
it’s like a step back and five front
a new dawn is here again
although memories of yesterday will always remain,
that new dawn is here to stay.

Goodbye

Goodbye to you my Best friend
It’s hard to believe that we’re worlds apart.

We were like strings on a guitar,
Making harmony and pleasant tones.

You were there when I took the first step,
And gave me directions ever since.

You taught me life’s valuable lessons
And saw me through my mistakes.

Unable to see the virtues you bestowed,
Cut-short by nature’s worthy call.

A decade now past and I realize;
This friend is gone but ever-green.

But with the gift of the Name
Like a tattoo I will always have.

And even if I hate to believe you’re gone,
Goodbye to you my Best friend.

If I Forget You

You've been that light when its dark
giving me a place when there was none
believing in me was your priority
making me stand tall in all my endeavors.
you made me smile when there was no cause
showing me how important i was,
even when i was rejected and oppressed by the world.
How would i be judged,
if i forget you?

You where my strength and soul provider
a puzzle i can't lose but win
showing me how bright my future would be
if i could stand tall and hold on tight.
No matter how far apart we may be,
we connect in every way-
body, soul and spirit.
I know i would be lost in this whole, wide, world,
if i forget you.

He Is

A wealthy, famous and educated young man he was
With a dying heart that money can’t heal.
Had everything he wanted but nothing to his name.
Desires something but knows not what.
What do I do now? He says
As a friend I can only lead
but what you need is in Him.

He is the aged and weak,
He is the wisdom of the white,
He is the strength of the black,
The breath we give and take.

He is the raging tempest of the sea,
He is the cock-crow at dawn,
He is the harvest from a sown seed,
The change in day and night.

She went in search knowing she is an orphan.
Young and pretty on a troubled street,
Got pregnant with no where else to go,
Fathers out in the world but knows not who.
Where do I go from here? She says
As a friend I can only lead
but what you need is in Him.

He is the distance from east to west,
He is our joy and pain,
He is the foetus in a womb,
The comfort of the orphan.

He is our guard in the dark,
He is the snow in winter,
He is the melody of the birds,
Our Allah and Jehovah.

Love

Love is sour,
Love is sweet.
Love is cold,
Love is heat.
Love is the sound of a beat
A world you can’t resist.

It comes and goes like flash
Leaving stripes on the heart like a lash.
May seem stupid to others
But sticks hearts closer than brothers.
Love is blind and bright
But travels farther than the speed of light.

Love knows no boundaries-
Race, gender, status or beliefs.
Love holds no grudge,
Even in pain, shame or blame.
Love builds the Heart,
Making friends, lovers, couples or soul mates.

Love is cruel,
Love is nice.
Love is foolish,
Love is wise.
If love could rise and fall like the tide,
Why then is it called love?
