Jada Mortensen

And so she was the girl from Bair.
With ocean eyes and golden hair.
Of heavy heart and light despise
Of cupid's dart and winter's cries.
There came a day when things did end.
Around the corner of the bend
There came a truck and in dispair
The loudest word was spoken there.
And so she left to who knows where.
Whilst many cried because they cared.
She roams around in circles too,
And whispering winds and skies of blue.
We raise our glass towards the sky
And smile a memory although she died.
No tears tonight, not ever one.
For there she rests inside the sun.
She is okay we know for sure.
In better days to now endure.
And so she was the girl from Bair
With clemency; a heart so fair.
And as we lay in bed and sigh,
I'd like to say to you Goodbye.

There Once Was a Girl

There once was a girl
Who sat at the lake
Thinking to herself
She said, this is a mistake.

The lake is all dry
Nothing but mud.
What was once so pretty,
Is now just a dud.

What could have happened
To all that water.
What about the fish?
They don't just get up and wonder.

Then she saw it in the middle
A hole had form, the size of her fist.
What could I do?
How can I fix this?

I can walk out there and fill the whole
Then the water can no longer escape.
The rain will come and fill it up
Make it once again a lake.

Now the water is rising up,
The hole still filled with my hand.
This probably wasn't a great idea.
I shouldn't be here, I should be on land.

There once was a girl
Who sat in the lake.
Thinking to herself
She said, this was a mistake.

Mother

Mother, oh how you keep me at bay.
Only you know what to say.
The time I spend away from you,
Helps me realize I love you too.
Everyone says I'll lose you one day.
Realizing that's false, in my heart you will forever stay.

The I'Mpossible

Look at me
And tell me what you see
I'm more than just a girl
It goes deeper then sexuality

My blonde hair cant stop me
From putting on that foot ball helmet.
And my manicure cant stop me
from using a baseball glove.

My pedicure can't stop me
from putting on those cleats
And my "fragile" body
Can't stop me from doing karate.

So, the impossible,
well, that just got upgraded to the I'm possible.

I bare more pain then you can.
Yet I live by more natural joy then you can.
I am just as good as you are
Just because I am a girl doesn't mean my successes are mediocre.

Silently

Thinking silently by the wall, don’t give a damn about them all.
Outside its raining cats and dogs but I’m just sitting here with my
tears.
Rude and mean you’re all so foul; sometimes I just want to howl.
Your words, how they make me scowl, scowl while I drink these
beers.
Only way they’ll fade away is drinking cans of ice cold beer.
Drink away my silent tears.
