It's Been One Year

Here we are still without you
one year later, there has never been a pain any greater
Daily, we remember your sound
your smile and the way you felt
I am so sorry for the hand you were dealt
We miss you so much it's unreal
To have you back we would kill
We want to believe that you hear us talk to you up there
You must know how much we care
Pieces of some of us went with you
so forever our bond is true
We will always ask why and we will never understand
and that will always make us mad
Dear God, it didn't have to be so bad
Each of us have our own special memories of you
man, you were so awesome Blue
We're doing the best we can to go on without you
some days are better than the other
then there is days that in the pain and sorrow we smother
You will never be forgotten
and as for the new cousin you never got to meet
he will hear all about Cam-Cam and know that he is called Blue
in honor of you
We love and miss you so much through the wind
we long to feel your touch
My dearest young man
pretend right now that we are hand in hand
I love you so much baby
For now I must go
God Bless your soul

The Man I Never Knew

I try so hard to remember you, but when you died I was only two.
I have nothing, not one memory of you. I guess you did what you had to do.

I have always heard that you were such a good man, and mom always said you had a gentle hand.
They say I have your eyes. For you, i've had many cries.

You had to know that you would be leaving us in a mess.
I have some resentment, I must confess.

I would have loved to have known you, and of us girls, who were you closest to?
What all places did you and I go?
When I was born, did you take me around to brag and show?
What it's like to be a daddy's girl, i'll never know.

I had a good raising, I will not complain. My mommow made sure, I had no pain.
I have always thought about you though, and wondered how did your last day go.

Did you give each of us an extra kiss? and think to yourself, "that's what i'm going to miss".
Did you hug us a little tighter? and for a moment, you remembered when life was brighter.

When you sat down beside that tree, what all exactly did you see?
Three beautiful dark haired girls, and the fourth one with blonde curls.

I'm so sorry that life was so bad for you, but have you seen what all we've been through?

You pulled the trigger, and through the woods there was a loud sound. In an instant, our lives were turned upside down.

Pain and sorrow is something our family knows to well.
I won't lie, sometimes life is a living hell.

I'm going to stick it out, so my kids won't have to wonder what I was about.

When they ask me about you, i'll show them a picture and say, he was a good man, and very handsome too, but he is the man I never knew.

What I Miss Most

What I miss most, is your smile.
I grab a picture and stare awhile.
What I miss most is our inside jokes.
   Not funny to other folks.
What I miss most is your determination and strong will.
The only person to always keep it real.
What I miss most is your input and advice.
You always said, "they better treat you nice".
What I miss most is our many games of shooting pool.
Entering all the tournaments, because we were so cool.
What I miss most is seeing you walk into a room.
You were taken away far too soon!!!!
What I really miss the most is, my best friend, my nephew, my little man.
   Forever, i'm your biggest fan!!!!

Still With Us

I wrote this 2-12-09 one of many about my my nephew Camron Paul Wilson, nickname, Blue. He was 16 when he died in a tragic accident. R.I.P Blue 11-22-87 - 7-27-2005

Still with us, your legacy, we boast about the kind of man you would be.
Still with us, wonderful memories we'll have forever
stop missing and loving you, never.
Still with us, the sound of your voice
the brightness of your smile, what I wouldn't give
for us to hang out for a while.
Still with us, the courage you had
you bestow it upon us to keep us going through all the bad
Still with us, pain and tears
we only had you for sixteen years
Still with us, the knowledge of what a true soul you were
In this world, you always knew your place
such a man, that before you left, you gave us a saving grace
The Lord took you and gave us another little boy
we know it was you, trying to give us a little joy
  Still with us, is you
every day and every where
I know, because I can feel you there
  When I need you
you come, I see your face
I can hear your voice
You guide me to the right choice
I can see your smile and your hands I can feel
Now I'm a believer, because your spirit is so real
What an honor to have you as our own
Can't wait to see you when I come home

Black Hole

In this black hole I fall deeper and deeper
throw me back i'm no keeper

I'm down so deep
No one can even hear me weep

Down here dreaming
of that light to start gleaming

How did I get here
my mind is not clear

I must get out of this black hole
and never fall again

This battle I must win

For Our Heavenly Angel On His Birthday

Happy birthday to our young man
what we wouldn't give to hold your hand
Instead of seventeen candles on this day
we'll put seventeen roses where you lay
Five months now since you've been gone
dear God, it is so hard to stay strong
 We remember you daily
and great things have been done in your honor
 We'll make you proud
because our love is so loud
Dear God, we ask one favor
let the birthday boy make a rainbow
to shine on us down below
 Happy birthday Camron
the truest man we've ever known
Rest peacefully now in Heavens home

Just For You

Just for you, these words I write
while I watch you sleep through the night.
My little girl, oh how I worry
your growing up in a hurry.
As you continue to grow here is a list of things you must know

I want you to continue to do what is right
 always keep God in sight.
I want you to always be yourself and never insecure
keep your mind pure.
I want you never to cry, hurt, or have pain
but when you do, run to me and I will protect you from the rain.
I want you to learn and be smart
always go with your heart.
I want you to laugh and play
please God, keep her from harms way.
You must know mommy is always here
to protect you from all that you fear.
 You are my first born
I was seventeen and with child
you remember times when I was wild.
Together, we've been through a lot
regret having you, never I do not.
Please know I would do anything for you
anything you needed me to.
Please know as you get older
a guardian angel sits on your shoulder.
 My precious baby girl
you are such a beautiful sight
with all my wrong you are my right.
 You make me so proud
when I see you smile that makes it all worth while.
Always be strong and always stay real
let no one change how you feel.
Never be afraid to speak your mind
sometimes the world can be unkind.
I know your going to be just fine
and I know you will do great things.
I'll sit back and watch you spread your wings.
Know that I love you more than words can explain
sometimes it makes me a little insane.
 When you hurt I hurt
 When you cry I cry
My angel for you , I would die

To My Friend

How can something be so right but yet be so wrong
I know for me you will be
Just another sad love song
I did not mean to fall in love but then one day
you said I was an angel sent from above

I have loved all of our times
it always seems like we are inside of each others minds
When you look at me it seems like you love what you see
Each time we kiss I think
wow everyone should know love like this

Yes I have always known that you and I could never be
now loving you is killing me
Many nights I phein for you
knowing there is nothing I can do
It's someone else that you belong to

Maybe in our next life
I get to be your wife

I know life will go on and in time
you will no longer always be in my mind
Eventually it will be the day
that we must go our seperate way

You will have your life
with the two kids and the wife
As for me
I will test out the other fish in the sea

Just keep our memories strong in our minds
know that we shared feelings that some
never feel in a lifetime

Until we meet again
in my heart is where I keep you friend

Things You Must Know

You must know-
you have to make her a happy wife
 give her a wonderful life
You must know-
 she is special to me
make her as happy as she can be
You must know-
her first marriage was unbelieveably rough
his beatings made her very tough
You must know-
 her life has been hard
 forever her heart is scarred
You must know-
there will be days when all she can do is cry
 she'll scream to God
he was to young to die
You must know-
there are no words to make her pain go away
understand she has to take it day by day
You must know-
she is a daughter, a big sister
 an aunty, and a mother
 compare her to no other
You must know-
my whole life she has took care of me
there are days we need each other you'll see
You must know-
she has a family that no matter what, we still love
we'll always be there when push comes to shove
Finally you must know-
she is one of a kind
someone better, you will never find

Missing You

I miss your voice
I miss your laugh and that huge smile that made life worth while
I miss your tall body standing next to mine
With you there I knew everything would be fine
I miss you calling me "dude" and you saying "what a geek"
especially when I thought I was being sleek
I miss seeing you with your girlfriend
the way yall loved was something to commend
I miss seeing you in your do-rag,shorts, and cowboy boots
no one could compare, not even men in suits
You are missed so much that it is unreal
this is a wound that will never heal
Watch over us all until we get our call
Pay extra attention to your mom
send a sign her way so she'll know
your ok
We'll keep missing you until the day
we head your way
Taking each day in stride knowing you will be our guide
