Night Owls

Their covenant wings
Like cherubim on alters
Spread out for preying

Ice Cream

Vanilla bean skin,
Cool sweet breath and cherry lips
Make kissing dessert.

Grand Canyon

Some people are voices
On the edge of rocks
With steep slopes and cliffs.
Some people are echoes
At the bottom of walls
Carved by rushing waters.

Land Clouds

Eerie eerie fog
Crept and crept along the ground
Like clouds held at bay

Full Moon

Eye of the night sky
Wide open with cloud-like brow
Guide me on the path.

Leave the Ninety-Nine

We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep
Wand'ring far behind
We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep-
Left behind (Chorus)

Just suppose one of you has a hundred sheep
Then loses one of them and begins to weep
Would you not leave the ninety and nine
And go after the one on your heart and mind
And when it's found you would hold it closer
And carry it home upon your shoulders
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating your sheep that's back in the fold again

[Bridge]
Likewise there's more rejoicing
In Heaven up above
Over one lost soul who will repent
Than for the ninety-nine
Who are already found
To be righteous and so obedient (So..)

(Chorus)

Now suppose one of you has ten silver coins
But then loses one of them from your collection
Would you not light the house and sweep the floors
Searching very carefully for what is yours
Would you not put away the other precious nine
And look in every corner until the lost one you'd find
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating you have your coin in your hand again

[Bridge]

(Chorus)

[Bridge2]
But don't forsake the congregation
And now's the time for visitation
To lead the lost ones to salvation
With God's angels in celebration

(Chorus)

Made Man

Before his appointed place
And before his work and living,
There was a man
God did create.

Before he had a voice,
And before the woman was given
There was a man
That God did make.

We Have Never Been In Love With Each Other At the Same Time

You were in love with me
While I'd tell you I didn't love you,
And you continued on for a space...
Until I finally fell in love with you.
But you fell out with me
And kept telling me to my face.
Then my promised love got exhausted
While you were replenished;
Yet, you say it wasn't from my endeavors.
And now you're back in love with me.
But since... I've fallen out with you;
You franticly pull all my handles and levers.
Pushing all my buttons you realize
That we have never been in love
With each other at the exact same time,
And we know it's a crying shame
How quickly we always fall out
Exchanging rich love to nickel and dime.

The Children's Bread

Freshly baked every morning,
Even at noon and in the evening,
In different shapes and colors-
Some dense, some light
Some like desert manna
Some flat, some leavened
Some long and whole
Or sliced in small pieces
Some cooled, some hot
So soft and then some hard
With such Heavenly aromas
Served at the Master's Table
Of chairs, booths, benches
And cushions for tired knees,
Healing is the children's bread.
They hunger no more for worldy feasts.
Even their dogs eat the fallen crumbs,
Sometimes portions from their hands;
As the children drink Living Water,
They thirst no more for bitter fountains
And sources of a soul's diseases.
On earth the Master tabernacles
With us for many days of Heaven.
Within without we are healed
And given our daily bread.

Vapours

Gray clouds without rain
Loom and strike their hands
With thunders and heavy voices
At the earth below
Sending down flashes of light
Which miss their marks
Then the breath of heaven
Carries away those vapours
Before the sun
