I Must Go Back To the Cross

When I forget that Christ died for me
that He was God's pure sacrifice,
And when I doubt that His promise is true
That His Grace is enough to suffice,
Then I must stop and think of His love,
  and devine intervention for me.
For without His death I would not be
God's child and a soul set free.
When it seems that love, peace and joy have fled,
and the Jordan I will not cross,
Then I must go back to where it began,
I must go back to the cross.

I must go back, go back to the cross,
Where my sins were all washed away
By the blood of that one, ,God's sinless Son
And remember what He did that day.
He made a way where there was no way.
He gave hope when all hope was lost.
Now when I lose sight of His power and might,
I must go back to the cross.
Back to the cross, back where it began,
Where my heart I lay at His feet.
Back to the cross, that Old Rugged Cross
It is there that my life is complete.

That Rugged Cross

In my mind I see it standing there
   one top of Calvary's hill.
In reality that cross is gone
but I see it standing still.
I'll hold tight to that picture
   ever present in my mind,
As a reminder of a rugged cross
   on which my Savior died.

That rugged cross stands empty
and the tomb is empty too.
The tomb in which they placed my Lord
when He died for me and you.
I'll treasure that clear picture
that I carry in my mind
Of Golgotha with it's rugged cross
where my Lord and Savior died.

My Savior sits in Heaven
   interceeding there for me.
But in my mind the cross still stands
   on the hill of Calvary.
And at the foot of that old cross
   I lay my burdens down
And kneel each day before that cross
   till I recieve my crown.

Here Am I

Here am I, Your servant ,Lord.
Heart set to do Your will.
Even though You slay me ,Lord,
   I will trust you still.

A bond slave I would always be,
   so humble in Your sight.
Even though You slay me ,Lord
i'll trust with all my might.

Here am I, devoted,Lord,
to do Your will I must,
Even though You slay me ,Lord,
my God, in You I trust.

Here am I, so thankfil,Lord,
in the midst of many trials,
Because You care so much for me
   You persist through my denials.

The Light

Christ is the light that brightens my life.
I have chosen to worship my God.
I will follow the Lord Jesus Christ
on paths I so long to trod.
Through all the good times and through the bad
I know He will always be there.
I can call on His name and He'll answer
   anytime , anyplace, anywhere.
He is my strength, on Him I depend,
I draw from that strength night and day
To heal me in sickness,to keep me in health
and be humbly willing to always obey.

A Firm Foundation

The winds can blow, the earth can shake
   and floods can wash away
All things not rooted in God's love,
they have no power to stay.

Build your house upon the Rock
   It is the safest place.
It is a firm foundation
   poured out by God's grace.

Poured by love and set by grace
   in Christ and His commands.
A house that's built on Jesus Christ
   all things it can withstand.

Let your roots grow strong and deep,
   put total trust in Christ.
You'll find your heart is filled with peace,
and love, and joy, and Light,

Joy In the Lord

You won't find joy in what you have,
you won't find joy in wealth.
You will find joy in Jesus Christ
and not in love of self.

There is always joy in the Lord,
there is joy in being free.
If you love Jesus there is joy in His word,
I have found joy Lord, in Thee.

It is said, "Joy comes in the morning"
And joy turns darkness to light.
The love of the Lord and His gift of joy
make all our tomorows seem bright.

Joy is a glorious feeling
    of gratitude and delight.
A flame that is constantly burning,
A flame only God can ignite.

Bless the Lord, Oh My Soul

Oh Lord, we come into this place
    to worship and adore You.
To give You praise, lift up Your Name
to bow pur knee before You.
We sing to You a new song
of Your Mercy and Your Grace.
You have paid for our Salvation.
You are welcome in this place.

We bless You Lord with all our soul
and all that is within us
Lord we bless Your Holy Name.
We bless You Lord with all our soul
and all that is within us
Lord we bless Your Holy Name.

Lord, each day we sing, rejoice
    and praise Your holy Name.
We pledge our love and honor too,
    Your Mercies we proclaim
Majestic Lord? Oh yes You are.
    High and lifted up
Above all things, yet in our hears
    You overflow our cup.

We bless You Lord with all our soul
and all that is within us,
        Bless Your Holy Name.
We bless You Lord with all our heart
and all that is within us,
        Bless Your Holy Name.

Stable, Manger, Cross and Crown

I Bethlehem a King came forth,
His name was Jesus Christ and Lord.
Born in a stable where animals fed
No royal bed for His wee head.
The manger where the Christ Child lay
was filled with fresh sweet smelling hay.
He was the sacrificial Lamb
God in flesh, The great I Am.
Born a lowly peasents son,
this all devine and holy one.
But a cross stood waiting on a Hill,
   Prophecy He must fulfill.
Born to save the sons of men,
born to die and live again.
Through Him we have a second birth
that's why the Savior came to earth .
Now in Heaven He resides
   seated at His Fathers side.
Many crowns are on His head,
no straw filled manger for His bed.
No more a lowly peasents son,
this gift from God, this Holy One.
Immanuel,God with us, Immanuel, Lord Jesus,
Immanuel our Savior King, Immanuel our everything.
Immanuel our strength, our Rock
Our peace and Shepherd of the flock.

Jesus Lives

Jesus lives, He lives in me.
He cleansed my soul,He set me free.
He changed my heart from stone to flesh,
He gave me joy and happiness.
He's working on me every day
to keep me walking in His way.
Sometimes it just seems to me
I fall short of what I should be.
Don't foresake me ,Lord I pray,
Don't take your guiding light away.
Instill in me a kind of peace
that always lasts, that will not cease.
Fill me Lord, so full of love
It could but come from God above.
Help me, Lord that love to share
that everyone might know I care.
Let them ask me anytime
for help and I will surely find
A way to help in time of need,
to plant a grain of mustard seed
that grows into a faith so strong
it fills their life with joy and song.
Lord what You give to me today
I, too, will give that same away,
to make anothers life worthwhile
by knowing also, they're Your child

The Grave Could Not Hold Him

Christ died on Mount Calvary at age thirty three,
to pay our sin debt so we could be free.
Bloody and beaten He walked to His death.
On a cross at Golgatha He took His last breath.

His body was placed in a tomb, not His own,
and they sealed it shut with a large heavy stone.
The day after Sabbath they went to the tomb,
but the Lord was not there, just a large empty room.

The Angels had come and the stone rolled away.
'Twas a glorious first Resurrection Day.
The grave could not hold Him, praise God for that day.
the grave could not hold Him and sin washed away.

Yes the stone was rolled back,
Christ came forth from the grave
                   And He lives, He's alive
and our debt has bee paid!
