That Rugged Cross

In my mind I see it standing there one top of Calvary's hill. In reality that cross is gone but I see it standing still. I'll hold tight to that picture ever present in my mind, As a reminder of a rugged cross on which my Savior died. That rugged cross stands empty and the tomb is empty too. The tomb in which they placed my Lord when He died for me and you. I'll treasure that clear picture that I carry in my mind Of Golgotha with it's rugged cross where my Lord and Savior died. My Savior sits in Heaven interceeding there for me. But in my mind the cross still stands on the hill of Calvary. And at the foot of that old cross I lay my burdens down And kneel each day before that cross till I recieve my crown.

That cross is not gone and will never be. Faith, hope and love will forever be nailed to it. And we will have all of those things as long as we cling to it. We are the tomb that enbodies the spirit of Christ and it will never be empty. When we ask forgiveness of our sins the stone is rolled away from the tomb that holds our soul and we are set free.

Everytime a believer dies, His spirit is set free to live and die through another sinner that has been saved. The Light will never dim and the Spirit will never die. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen Rockman :-)
