Fall of Man

soft breeze blow by
looking up at the sky so blue
where is heaven and is it really true
religious turmoil has destroyed the
children of men
some say they are righteous and others
live lives of sin
breeze picks up as time stand still
what gives any men the right to kill
judgements come to us all at the end of
our time
breeze suddenly changes to it devastating
wind
causing men to fall and trees to bend
dust blinds their eyes and takes away the
sunlight
believers and non believers now kneel
side by side
pleading with him and explaining how
hard they tried
their excuses and prayers will now not be
heard
all they needed was to follow the
instructions of the lord thy god's word
pestilence in famine will cover the land
this will be a great fall of man.

Blind

consumed with addiction
blinded by depression
what is this obsession and why haven't I
learn my lesson
only he knows my transgressions
lighting grows dim and vision is blurred
the blindness has set in
so into the darkness I creep
trying to find the way day after day
I know what is there and what can be if
only I could see

Cherish Every Moment

Stars in the sky like grains of sand
pouring through an hour glass in open
hands. Slipping straight through the
cracks going straight to the ground and
no one reacts.. Each gain a single
instance in time. A memory so easily
forgotten a dream so easily left behind.
Trying to keep the light that tries to darken
the mind. A black hole that absorbs each
star like dream. Slowly eating away the
glisten and gleam. To give up and forget
feels like the easiest way. Then start again
another day.

Mindless Rambling

mind gone there's no more credibility
unable to accept any responsibility
trust is lost when will we find the closing
cost
have no fear push those away who want
to draw near
the temptation is great when there's
nothing but hate
mentally controlled by forces unknown
just want to be left alone
continually being drug back like a train
coming off track
an example must be set but it's so hard
living with so much regret
knowing the future seems so bleak gotta
find one more winning streak
only worry is letting others down the
burden of holding the crown
identity has been misplaced along with all
natural taste
thoughts are screaming into the ears
mistakes made throughout the years
when will this storm end like a message
that won't send
rains bring in floods of unrest and all the
doubt fueled by this unwanted guest
never ending thoughts of heaven and hell
wanting so bad to just hear the bell
physically asleep but sub consciously
awake trying to find the right combination
of pills to take
bury all the feelings within like writing a
letter but don't know where to begin
just so tired of this rambling and all this
mindless gambling

Hoping For Greatness

Forcing us down a narrow path
Array of happiness all around us
A barrier of pain keeps moving us forward
Darkness in front and no way back of us
Hoping that every step will lead us to a
way out
Looking left or right would give us a great
time
But something greater pushes us to
another life

Blood, Sweat, and Tears

Just your smell brings a million thoughts
to my mind,
When you speak you try to sound so
condescending,
Your soul seems so empty towards me
like we never had any history,
Why has forgetting come so easy for you,
Blood, sweat, and tears for you,
Giving up on my own dreams for you,
Would have laid down this very life for
you,
The misuse of my heart and feelings
saddens me to the core,
Selfishness and lack of concern just simply
astounds me,
What more could I have possibly given to
make you happy,
If only I had known happiness cannot be
made but has to be found,
I always had mine but you had not found
yours yet,
Never admitting this to me I hope you do
regret,
A future that looked so promising with
positive flow,
The existence I had create was only for us,
Brought to an end on lies and deceit,
Now all destroyed how can I rebuild in all
this rubble.

Inanimate Object

cold and steely with no mind
smooth but rough at the same time
no control over the damage caused
needed for protection
but lusted after for the power to rule

In Time

The times that bind

Grind on the mind

And crumble away in time

Filling the Void

How will I ever fill this void,
Trying to replace you to soon is a mistake,
That I will dare not make,
New ones come and go,
But its just to fill this empty space,
Learning to relive alone with time,
Is the only to fix this soul.

Superficially Challenged

It disappears in a glimmer
The surroundings grow dimmer
Sun starts fading away
Blue skies turn to gray
Cannot seem to keep focus
Change it all with just some hocus pocus
On a downhill path to self destruction
Ignoring all guidance or instruction
Fighting an endless battle to stay sane
Common sense is pouring down the drain
Wanting something solid to trust
Crumbles away and blows with the dust
Internal bleeding inside this heart
Searching for some point to restart
Consuming to just maintain control
Why does life seem so superficial
