Sonnet 18 and a Half

Shall I compare thee to a piece of clay?
Thou crack and crumble in light of the sun.
Thy beauty’s all but washed and burned away
All of my love for thee has been undone.

Thing We Had To Do For School

I am a sick man… I am a spiteful man.
The years have passed me by
Why couldn’t I have made a stand
I lie in bed, wondering why

I am a sick man… I’m a regretful man.
The years have passed me by
All that time I could have ran,
But now it’s too late to fly

I am a sick man… I’m an unhappy man.
The years have passed me by
I could well have saved her life
But I didn’t, and now I die

I am a sick man… I’m a dying man.
The years have passed me by
Now it’s far too late to change
It’s time to say goodbye
