Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Kiss saves and kills
Drop by drop KISS increases
To form an ocean of EMOTION
EMOTION in love billows
Around many pillows
With PASSION it is POWERED
You lose control over your EMOTION
Your EMOTION now sets you in MOTION
To the journey of no return.
You may ask, What is bad in it?
The bad IN it is at the END of it!

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Scramble in life of a
man.
Is sequel to gamble
and grumble
Thinking that he is
humble
Because he could
afford an apple.
Men begin to play
him like scrabble.
As a sample for the
simple.
On-till he finds the
temple.
Commit your life to
him who is ABLE.
It will not crumble,
crumple or fumble
Which are triple -
sorority.
You will neither look
rumpled nor tumbled.
It is all a parable
that saves from
trouble
Which is a seed of
struggle
Mostly for the
'arable farmer'.
Yet not like the
carpenters hammer.

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Yes! You have to think out of the box
But you don't have to lose your brain box
(which is more than a gear box or a black box)
because of your brave boss,
(even when he holds an axe).
Its loss would cost you more than an ox.
Its an evidence of sear laxity
Its dividend is with influx of max pain
which wax stronger than flax
It doesn't count whether you are a fan of
fox news, drive Toyota hillux, use fax or bathe with lux soap.
You don't need to pay tax to play a sax.

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Song of the Sea
The giant of Africa the great Nigeria
Land flowing with milk and honey
The garden adorned with gold and pearls
No! The rogues will not cast their spells
The axe in its adventure is capturing and
falling the trees in this garden
The birds are flying away
leaving their eggs in fallen nests and
Their young’s in the care of the hawks
that hides in the crevices of the (ASO)rocks
Their melodious songs ceased from the shores of our ears
The rhythm of their chorus is gone
O malicious describes musical notes of the new song
Mischievous is the beat that lace the chorus
The chorus i called democractic carol
Mostly sung by the democratic parties
and that they do without sympathy or empathy
The terrorist like an adventure with pleasure
ran through this pasture
Ravaged the age long value of our culture;
Of progress, unity, love and peace
Giving the ‘vultures’ an adventure
The greenness of your field is fading
that is done majorly by greediness
O my God, they do that with readiness
Your fruits are falling in false labour
The trees are giving up their flowers - their true beauty
O trees thou were made to shed your leaves
When we need rest beneath your shadows
The sun of Democracy raced and hurried from west to east
The race of the sun from west to east is to set
O Olympics of power in Nigeria
Will the sun of democracy in Nigeria
at this time set in the east/south-south?
When we needed its rays the most
Will the north and the south/east wait and
watch it rise again from the west?
The moon also took refuge in the silver clouds
My walk through the night can’t be a solo walk
The stars are still shining and that keep me singing
I could hear the voice of the blue sky calling onto the blue sea….
“Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause.
Guide our leaders right, help our youths the truth to know.
In love and honesty to grow and living just and true.
Great lofty heights attain.
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.”

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Forgive all my attempts
To make you a magician
Coming to you in dozens of time
Like a musician and an artisan
At times like a comedian.
A true art of chameleon in religion clothing
Approaching you only for assistance
Never making a remittance but
always giving you the remnant
Even on that i failed to ruminate
But act like a ruminant
I used every instrument of the
mathematician (that on tithe)
Neglecting all your epistles to the
Corinthians, Ephesians,
Philippians, Colossians.
Especially, the one to the Thessalonians.
I omitted the acts of the Apostles
I did not take after the act of Joseph of Arimathea.
These portray the true heart of a politician
and not a Christian.
Forgiveness is a decision
Forgive and forget Is a household song
How do i deal with the incisions?
To be safe from infections and perversions
That leads to perdition without neglecting my
friends affection and persuasion
That is the nub of this notion
Only by your injunctions and inscriptions
It may be by information for reformation
I can make the right corrections
I must reach perfection
O Lord can you still forgive me?

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
Top of the world news has not really been good news examples are MH 370 (Malaysia missing Plane) and Nigeria’s missing girls.
BRIG BACK OUR GIRLS has become a house hold song, some are even acting it like a play (without sincerity) while the hearts of the victims are pierced and that of their parents.
This is not synonymous to the ultimate search where people search for treasures at their leisure if I may put that way.
But I am only in dilemma about one thing, which is ‘missing period’. Sometimes I hear some cry for missing there period at other times I hear some celebrate for missing there period. That is just for the concerned people. So also I am in dilemma about the Nigeria’s missing girls.
I headed for the church searching for my missing ‘thing’ but just at the gate of the church where I met the gate man. The way he looked at me and talked to me suggested that I did not need to see the Pastor….humility once lived there but he has shifted base.
I decided to visit public and private organizations. My encounter with the gate man (gm) wisely and widely informed me that I should not go any further to seeing the general manager (GM). Though the gate men may not have done that deliberately, maybe I assumed they really know who/what I was searching for. The pastor and the general manager may have it or at least be able to direct me to where I could find him. My assumption might have made an ass of u (you) and me (ass-u-me), I say that with caution.
Humility is actually what I am searching for in the ocean of humanity. When did it loss signal with my control tower? Where did it detour and finally (maybe) drown in the ocean of humanity like MH 370 (of Malaysia Airlines). Could that also be credited to terrorists, I mean the loss of my missing ‘thing’? ...
I will not be able to write much on this to guard against conflict of opinion. If you have humility with you/in you, I am ready to pay you a visit and if you know where he resides now, kindly give a pointer, I am all out for him. Let me use the words of Mary;
“And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.” John 20:13-14.
...I do not know where I/they/you have laid HIM, even him (humility).
Let it also be that when I turned myself back to this post I will read your comment.

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
When the purpose of a thing is not known
Abuse does not only becomes INEVITABLE
But a VEGETABLE on an EVENT-TABLE
Yet UNPALATABLE
Everyone now sits around this TABLE
To DISCUSS at times in CAUCUS
Leaving the CACTUS and the CARROT with the PARROT
Because it is a CORRUPT-TABLE
When MORAL VALUES are reduced to ORAL FABLES
The AURA is lost and the MORALS become TERRIBLY FEEBLE
It reduces one to a PEBBLE
Even if you are HUMBLE
You have to cross the HURDLE
And you may choose to FUMBLE
At best you may GRUMBLE
For not having a VENERABLE
At the TABLE in the TEMPLE
With an APPLE to receive a TURTLE
But just a CRADLE
Which is not better than a STABLE
Where you used to CHUCKLE, CHORTLE,
GURGLE and GIGGLE. What do you think?

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
I could recall some years ago
The day that sealed the deeds of the deal
And dot the long journey of nine months
In my calendar of the years
The same brought about the cry
That started the journey of my childhood…
What a honey of motherhood?
An answer to your heart cry
You were assisted and ushered
Into the labor room
Like my savior was accompanied
To Gethsemane and went further
With the burden of sin of perishing souls
He bent His knees in prayers;
He sweated blood
So you lingered 'un-angered'
With the burden of a baby boy
You genuflected in labor
Fear with joy loomed in the air
Swimming in the ocean tides of the clouds
And I could see water dripping
Down your cheeks and nostrils
All because of me
Could I see any one that flogged you?
No! It's I beating you from within
Not with cane but with pains
Like a sheep before its shearer
You journeyed between life and death
All because of me!
It would have been simple if that was all
But I could see
Like two of your younger ones
Even of your daughter's age
Shouting at you
Push! Push! Push!
Else you kill this baby
What ridicule leading a miracle?
All because of me!
Push! Push! Push!
That was their shout and cry
That ushered me into a new world
Right at their ward
That was not because they're wayward
It was a labor room
It was labor for you
That which ignited my favour
What a pain heralding a gain?
But it was like a pay to me
I took it for a ride but
It was mother’s pride and joy
I thought it was play
Until she smacked and spanked me
Yet they succeeded
As they persuaded you and encouraged you
Then and there with flow of water
And pool of blood you pushed forth
And you pushed through.
I thought it was a favour and for my good
Only to see her hand carried me
As if she was all out to help
But it was only to cut the cord
While I held my hands together
Lost in the comfort and dream
Of the cosy womb
She took me out of the comfort zone
She smacks and spanks me
Again, again, and again
She made me to cry and never cared to say sorry
But told stories
He's another boy, she said
Right there she baptized me
Into a new world
She dragged that thing
She called cot to your side
And placed me in it
Alone I was laid crying
And all she did was to laugh at me
Mum. Her white uniform belied her act
Dedicated to V.A Aderounmu.

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
The clock ticks and cock crows.
What a trick that triggers
How time flies and days flee...?
In travail you crossed the White Sea beyond,
leaving us with the route that has its roots
At the foot of the cross, and its crux in Christ.
It’s like decades
When you left without facades
In your journey through the cascades of life.

Fisayo Aderounmu Poem
“As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night” John 13:30
He took your bread and didn’t wait for the drink
He went out
And it was night
…yet he betrayed you…
Dear Lord, I have taken your bread
Patiently I received your drink
Help my soul
Do not let 'the door' open unto me
I want to remain in here with you
No! I don’t want to go out
I mean go out
It is NIGHT
And it is dark
I might miss the way
Help would be far fetched
I don’t want to dash my feet
Against the stones of cares of this world
I don’t want to fall into the pit
That is hidden from the naked eyes
I don’t want to drown in the sea of pressure
I don’t want to be at the mercy of leisure
that comes with pleasure of this world
No! I don’t want its ride that Judas rode
Judas went out and he never returned, never ever
Lord don’t, don’t let me go-o-o-o-o
You prayed for Peter and things went better
Though it was later but he became greater
Oh, ‘Mercy said no
I'm not going to let you go
I'm not going to let you slip away
you don't have to be afraid
mercy said no’
Hey! Judas slipped and slumped
Slipped of tongue till his feet slipped
He slipped, slipped and slipped till his life spilled
He went out just like Dinah
"And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. 2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her." Gen. 34:1-2
Judas and Dinah went out
Out of divine coverage
Out of divine protection
Out of divine provision
Out of divine network
Out of divine instruction
Out of divine guidance and ordinance
He went out-out-out. Oh! Judas why?
